Who am I? | Neokarr is the remains of a vindictive person named Llewyn Omaberos, and in death he has changed for the better. Despite this, he is a sniper forced out of his peaceful retirement due to certain circumstances. He is hotheaded, emotional & genuine - not favoring lying unless it depends on perceived survival. Oddities & Mutations | Neokarr's entire being is considered an oddity, and easily identifiable as a Spirit from a glance. That being said, what is most peculiar is his fire-like horns, & his brilliant-colored markings that are leatherlike in texture - which include his stripes that litter his form.
At a Glance | Neokarr stands at an impressive height of six feet & seven inches, bearing a dark complexion struck with orange vibrant stripes - and less noticeably, dusted with freckles. His hair is short, curly & styled up to look like flames, whilst being colored a dark brown. He has Selvath heritage, which is obvious just by glancing at him. He has markings on his cheeks, nose & ears akin to a Fire-Salamander's with a similar texture to a Salamander's skin - and his trademark crown of six sharpened horns, which bears the same texture.     Nature Bound Spirits choose one (or Half) Heritage and receive the Heritage Traits from that. They are also functionally ageless but bound to one appearance (or Shapeshift with Packs).
    Nature-Bound Mechanic 2
    Nature Bound Spirits inherit some Archon Mechanics. They gain Mechanic 1, & Mechanic 2. Mechanic 2 however does not block them from using Sinistral Magic, which they can use.
    Nature-Bound Mechanic 3
    Nature Bound Spirits still bear some connection and compulsion to their original creation. As such, they may choose one Mechanic from all Evolism Religious Mechanics, or the Estelley Religious Mechanic.

    You can use Wings (of any Fae/Draconic/Mechanical design), while while out of Combat, allows Elytra flight, including the use of Rockets to gain more height and speed. Combat or Ability usage immediately disables flight and prevents flight until end of Combat.

    Evolism Ravaal Mechanic
    All worshipers of Evolism are granted the gifts of Ravaal. They can bless their weapons in the Glacial March, becoming ghostly and see-through. Any would-be lethal wounds they inflict will not kill, instead when if expire, they fall into a glacial coma, a Curse requiring 3 Mages with 7 Proficiency in Magic to break to awaken. Secondly, she grants Evolists the means to produce Soul-shards, which are small ice-like crystals in which they can capture the souls of those that they do end up killing, where they can choose to keep them, or let them pass on without the Malefica getting close.

    Neokarr is a full-blooded Selvath, due to him being a Nature-Bound Spirit.

    You can communicate with wild animals in your presence, but they cannot have plot-relevant information or information that would otherwise be metagaming or character-revealing. You can summon a plant and bark-matter mount from the forest anywhere, or call upon a Regalian deer to stride to you as a mount. Finally, you can turn wild beasts into temporary familiars. This may not work on Event Animals.

    You can (within reason), change how you are perceived, or how others perceive the forest around you while out of Combat. This can include producing animal sounds that imply the presence of predators, disappearing in the canopy as you jump from tree to tree, and generally making the forest a hostile place to be for unwelcome guests. Whatever is done, cannot confer combat benefit or pre-combat positioning.

    You can use song, music, or hand gestures to reshape wood and other plant-like materials in any shape you like, for example, jewelry or weapons. Other good applications for this are as furniture or decorations inside houses, or to address in-the-moment needs while in the forest, for example by creating wooden bowls, or chairs to sit on that sprout from the roots in the soil.

    You cannot be Aristocratic or Nobility in Regalia, but you don't need to either. While Regalians need money to buy things, you can just get anything and everything from the forest for free. You never need to buy clothes or food, and even alchemical ingredients and medicine can be regularly sourced from the woods. Money has no meaning to you and you can extract value for yourself.     You can use a ritual / consume / sacrifice any part of an animal to adopt aspects of it, for example consuming the flesh of a jungle-cat and taking on their hind legs and tail, or sacrificing the pelt of a bear and transforming your arms into bear-claw hands. These changes are temporary (however long you want them to be), can change any body part but never the head, and cannot grant other mechanical uses such as flight.

    HOBBIES & TALENTS
    Athletic Hobby
    Neokarr is a sniper, and favors cardio workouts as well as jogs. Being a sniper means you either have to perch somewhere high up, or be extremely skilled at running. Neokarr prefers the latter, and prefers methods known as "trap someone and run for the hills". He prefers being evasive, and if there's at least one thing he's adept at: It's sprinting and keeping up with his stamina.
    Magic Talent
    Neokarr's Magic is structured after the Elemental & Entropy Schools; with a distinct focus on fire & burning things away. He is both Hollow & Abyss aligned, with a distinct focus on two entities: The Malefica, and the Rejection Arken, with the former designating him 'Lifeburner'. Neokarr is considered indebted to the Malefica, even if he doesn't like to admit it and considers himself deserted from his post.

  • CURSE OF THE LIFEBURNER
    The Malefica knew of Neokarr's inevitable desertion and planted a curse that would activate the moment he turned to Draconic forces for salvation.
    Neokarr is considered bound and tethered to his inherent anger & hate, as a result. This section explains his curse in detail, and how he is bound to his firey form.
    First Stage
    Neokarr is easily irritable, and no one gives him a side-eye for that. The first visual cue is when he begins emitting blackened smoke from his stripes & the corners of his lips - and that is when it becomes a problem for everyone involved. This is considered the first stage of the curse, and he is often calmed before it comes into full effect. In terms of mental changes, he is more vindictive as well as unsurprisingly angry, which his crass & direct language often reflects that.
    Second Stage
    The second visual cue overlaps with the first visual cue. Whenever his stripes start glowing vibrantly along with emitting the trademark blackened smoke, it is a sign that combustion is imminent - as well if one makes physical contact, he is burning up as if he has a fever. He is substantially more harder to calm when the second stage comes into effect, which means he is more inclined to violence. In terms of mental changes, he is hateful, more prone to seeing the worst in people, and extremely angry.
    Third Stage
    This is the final stage, and considered the most volatile one. This is when combustion has occurred, and he is actively on fire. When in this state, he burns all life indiscriminately, even other Nature-Bound Spirits, and is substantially more harder to douse and calm than the other stages. Physical force will have to be used in this final stage to subdue him. In the aftermath of being doused, Neokarr is much more vulnerable due to exhaustion plaguing him, and often needs rest to be back to his full self.

    › This Artifact can steal the Artifactspark from other defeated Artifactholders and can hold more than one Artifactspark inside of it. Other Mechanics may derive functions from the number of Artifactsparks. Any change in the number of Artifactsparks must always be reported in a Ticket. If this Artifact has more than one Artifactspark, being defeated and having an Artifactspark stolen will only result in the loss of one, rather than all.

    ϟ || Sparked Mechanics:
    › The wielder of this Artifact can target one Mystech of any variant, and apply an Anima Curse on them, which makes them of flesh and blood. They get to choose the Heritage (or Half-Heritage) and other aspects while losing the Mystech Heritage Traits. This Curse also gives them real feelings and emotions, but not a real soul, and is generally thought of as temporary. It can function as a Disguise, but does not have to be. When this Artifact loses its spark, this Curse is instantly removed, but the Curse can also be lifted by any other Curse removal Mechanic, where it counts as if having been applied by a 7 Magic Proficiency Mage.
    › The wielder of this Artifact can choose one enemy in a Combat Roleplay Scene (except during 1v1's). That enemy counts as everything for the purposes of Abilities and Combat Mechanics used by the wielder that only work against certain things (ex. people of a religion, mystech, mages, etc).
    › The wielder of this Artifact can spend an Artifactspark to summon the Rejection Arken, which functions like a Divinium Summoning, in which the Arken will be amicable, answer questions, and potentially make bargains (assuming they are not insulted). Additionally, the wielder gains the Rejection Arkenborn Mechanics.
    › This Artifact grants the wielder +2 Attack Stat (breaking Cap up to 11) while using Attack Emotes only. Additionally, when attacking, the wielder's Attack Dice Roll Minimum is 4. For every additional Artifactspark in the Artifact, this minimum is raised by +1.

Regardless of this, he's a extremely easy character to get along with. Prodding about something that bothers him will also give you an increase in character relations.
    » I play Neokarr as a middle-man who serves as a bridge between the Undercity & Draconists. He's around the Undercity crowd & Draconists both, and usually uses his ties to better the Draconic Sanctuary in the sewers. He's positively inclined to (some) Undercity characters and will ramble about anything and everything if given the chance.
    » Neokarr has been a character around since 2019, which means he has a lot of history. Due to this, he's negatively inclined to Mortis Cultists & Estelley Faithful by default. Even if he views some of the latter's Faithful positively, more often than not he will see the worst in them & be more critical.
    » I play Neokarr as someone who is poetic, especially with flowers & nature. I enjoy getting to explore this interpretation he has of nature & the world, which means the attachment of various flowers to certain characters he views positively or negatively. Characters are free to have heard of Neokarr's symbolic nature and inquire about flowers & nature he's attached to them (provided they've met more than once).

    » I play Neokarr as someone who is generally forgiving, but his hard cut off line is betrayal. He absolutely will not stand for that, and more than often not will be abstinent in his shattered views of a character unless they have a justifiable reason. Even when they are justified, it takes Neokarr a long time to get over that.

  • Update 12/23/23:
    • Updated to comply with Spirit being shifted to Mystech. Most important notes of this are:
      • Adios Revenant Neokarr, hello fire Neokarr my beloved. He is now Malefica-pilled again with a sprinkle of Rejection. No escape from the narrative dear Neokarr.
      • His cleansing was not entirely voided. It was instead made 'temporary'.
      • Plot Hooks will get a touchup eventually but this works for now.
    • Shifted Neokarr's proficiency, he is now ranged + magic. I missed you, my sniper build.
    • Tweaks will be made no doubt.
