» Who am I? | Nelke is a quiet, god fearing woman with a habit of avoiding eye contact. Iron hearted and steadfast, she will diligently work until the task is completed, perhaps with a concerning lack of self-awareness. Her adoptive guardians are the one of the pedestals she feels she must live up to, building her ideals of fidelity and loyalty with the bricks of willful indoctrination. Conflict between her morals and actions causes her grief and instability, but so long as it is 'for the greater good' of the Empire she will prevail, by any means necessary.

Whatever god looked kindly on Nelke after nerfing her upbringing decided that she would be relatively pretty by Schwarzwald standards, often described as "puppenhaft'.

» Nelke
came from a small orphanage on the border of Baldmark. Despite being somewhat impoverished, the small village was not entirely run-down, surrounded by a large pine forest where she learned to hide and climb trees.
» Later on, she ended up in the city of Büchner, hosted by a small serf-family until she was old enough to be shipped off to a local academy.

» Childhood | ❝ The itsy bitsy spider crawled up the water spout, -❞

» Nelke's story is the beginning of an end, the romance between her parents fleeting yet . She was abandoned in the "Kieselkinderheim" after her parents were arrested for harboring an illegal Evolist Cult in their basement. Someone had escaped and alerted the authorities.
» Eventually, she was taken from the orphanage by pious strangers, given food and nursed back to health in Büchner. Here she recuperated her strength and became something of a farmhand and distant sibling to the other children.

» Adolescence | ❝ down came the rain and washed the spider out. - ❞
» Growing up, Nelke began to develop her skills in writing and shooting rifles. Often bringing home small hunting prizes at local fairs and becoming a national tragedy to the local wildlife population on the outskirts of town.
» Locally, the girl was known as kind of creepy, saying odd things, hiding in strange places, picking up insects. It wasn't until she socialized more with her new family that the rumors began to subside and she integrated into society.
» When funds ran dry, she was nearly given to a local nunnery with the Silent Sisters, as her farm-hand life was extremely pious in nature. Unusually, despite her quiet mannerisms, she protested. As a compromise, instead she was shipped off to a local Tax-funded Ten penny academy.
» Early Adulthood | ❝Out came the sun and dried up all the rain, -❞
» Nelke's love of literature, began only once she'd begun her basic training. It was a peaceful escape to long nights on watch or various strenuous tasks that built her frame for the hardships down the line.
» Joining the Order, was an easy thing to do. Perhaps she would come to regret it years later, but in the time of having no prospect, goals, and the perfect kindling for revenge, she transitioned straight into the order after her Academy training.
» Mentored by Dame Hilde until she was fit to be recruited as a squire.

» Present Day | ❝And the itsy bitsy spider climbed the spout again.. ❞

» Nelke is dispatched to the Imperial City of Regalia with a small group of other squires and knights in transport. She finds it interesting to map the rooftops of the city in her spare time, finding vantage-points in unlikely places for any possible occasion.
