Need Help Finding My Fault.

Hello everyone! In game I go by the name Jackmo_Jones and very recently I was given a temp ban for grieving. Now as some of you may know I'm rather new to Factions and just online MC in general so I fully admit I'm a little ignorant to some of the rules. To me grieving means purposefully destroying someone's creation to piss them off or just get a rise out of them so basically the MC version of trolling and this is something I've never done and never will do.

Now I've asked the mods what I've done specifically but I never got an answer so now I'm turning to the general populace.

If you know what it is that I griefed can you please tell me? I really do wish to avoid this happening again and if I don't know what I did how can I avoid it you know?

I'll finish by saying I'm sorry to whoever I wronged and I hope you don't take whatever I did personally. I've tried to be good and honest with the time I've spent on Massivecraft but everybody makes mistakes. Again I'm really sorry for whatever I may have done.

A lot of things wrong here.
First of all, griefing*
Second, you should be making a appeal if you believe you were wrongly banned.
Thirdly, did you read what was considered griefing in the faction rules? Taking blocks that are not considered valuable is not allowed, I think, or the other way around. Excessive stealing of blocks counts as griefing too.

I know it's griefing but the autocorrect on phones doesn't like that word.

I've already made an appeal and it was rejected I'm not trying to appeal anything anymore just trying to find out what happened. I'm also apologizing for whatever it was.

Why don't you just ask Staff? They should be able to tell you, I don't see why not...

In all honesty, I am not sure what you have done, but I copied this off of the Massivecraft Rules, and here it is-

Griefing for the intent of griefing is not allowed. A staff member always has the final call whether or not a grief is a grief.

You may:

• Break up to 4 blocks to gain entry to each facility.
• Kill someones animals.
• Harvest crops.
• Steal valuable items such as: Emeralds, Diamonds, Gold, Iron, Redstone or Bookshelves. We expect you to be reasonable.

You may NOT:

• Rip up an entire floor or rip out a wall that is very obvious, even if it is made of valuables.
• Pour lava or water over someones creations.
• Spawn a wither. These destroy blocks and spawning one will result in punishment.
• Make nerd-poles or slim towers to get over walls for raids without removing them after the raid is done.
• Make inappropriate structures in the worlds.

If you did something from that second section, then that's probably what happened. If not, then I am unsure of what players can help you and you might have to consult the staff once more. They're decently busy, so obviously they won't respond immediately. Oh, and don't mind some people. SOME people just want to mess with you, *ahem* (2 below) but help will be sought for you still. However, patience will be the best thing you can currently have.

It irritates me that people try to correct your grammar first, but any type of griefing is not allowed. You can steal valuable blocks, I hella would and it isn't against the rules to steal valuable blocks. If the entire floor is made out of diamonds or something, I'm sure you can't tear that up since it's the creator's creation and stuff. I'm not sure what you actually did, or if you've done anything at all. If they aren't giving you an explanation, then I'm not sure why.

I believe that I was called in to clean up the grief that belonged to you, as I wound up having to restore the area to fix the damage. You dug a giant trench/pit more than halfway around a faction. While you did not grief someone's work, wilderness griefing of such an extent is not allowed as well.

If you were leveling mcmmo excavation skills, next time I suggest going out into a desert in Ithania, Fendarfell, or New Ceardia away from a faction. Dig out a pit or large square, then make a ticket with /ticket c <message> in game to report it. This way you can level up, then report your own grief to have a rank 3 staff member restore it without consequences. It must be in Ithania, Fendarfell, or New Ceardia however, as we cannot restore the older worlds.

I did ask after the fact. There was a place to put a reply on the rejected appeal form so I asked there. They deleted the comment or something and locked the appeal so I couldn't post another reply.

I probably just asked in the wrong place cause again I'm not really used to forum procedure only other forum I use is Gamefaqs where you can actually ask for clarification within the moderat

OK I understand and yeah I was leveling my Excavation and trying to get diamonds of course.

Again I apologize. I hope you forgive me for my actions and I'll follow your advice in the future if I level that stat again.
