Religious Affiliation: Religion: Unionism. Piety: 6/10. Life StoryBirth & Childhood Alraesonynn Deceres is born to Earaine Deceres and Immanuel Miller on the 17th day of March, in 251AC. His childhood is largely unremarkable, growing up in Dragenthal, learning Anglian from his father and Plains Elven from his mother, and Common from both of them. Immanuel is a blacksmith, and often tries to teach Nynn his trade, but frequently fails. The same can be said for Earaine and her tailoring skills. Teenage Years At the age of 15, Nynn meets a sporadic client of his father’s; Wulfric One-Eye, a Blackmark and mercenary company leader. Seeking a way out of his present life, he negotiates with the Blackmark to be trained in his ways and leave Dragenthal in a year’s time. A year later, after much deliberation and expectation, Nynn finally leaves for the company of Wulfric’s mercenaries. Rather than taking up Blackmark, Nynn takes on skills of his own, mostly revolving around swords and movement. Nynn finally begins his travels with Wulfric’s mercenary band, staying mostly central to the Regalian Archipelago. He finds a certain affinity for unarmed fighting, using it to defend himself from Blackmarks in training. Early Adulthood (20-35) Nynn fathers his first child in the year 280AC; he is 29 years old. Whilst bogged down in a village in Anglia for a number of months, he has a brief fling with a woman named Marieke. From this, Anneke is born, though by the time of her birth, he is long gone. He does not see her for another 13 years. He continues his work as a sellsword, though establishes Regalia as his ‘base of operations’, so to speak. Here, he has more children; twins, Araidith and Asher, by an Avanthar named Madeleine, in 281AC. He decides to invest himself in these two, spending as much time as possible in raising them. However, he only spends four years in Regalia; the Chrysant Wars are on the horizon. Aged 35, Nynn is pulled into duty by Wulfric’s company, sailing to Hadaria to make war on the Slizzar and Allar. For the next five years, Nynn continues fighting in the Chrysant Wars. Later Adulthood & Present Day (35-56) Nynn returns home to his now-9 year old twins, spending some time adjusting them to his renewed presence. He remains central around Regalia for the rest of his career, wishing to see his children grow up. In 293AC, Anneke and her mother move to Regalia. Nynn resolves to similarly take a role in her life, being as present as possible whilst still prioritising the two children he has invested himself in. Nynn’s life for the next 13 years is consisted mostly of mercenary work to fund his home life; he fights in every major Regalian war on the Regalian side up until 305AC, including the Ranger Crisis, the first Elven War, and both Songaskian Wars, all as a foot soldier. In 305AC, Nynn’s life changes drastically. He joins the Trollstigel Blackmarks and is part of the Disaster at Altaqq, shaking his faith somewhat in Regalian military strength. Further, his suspicions towards Emil of Redange and Heikki of Norrlan are strengthened by their seeming lust for chaos and nothing else. He lines himself up to take control of the now-rebranded Blackmarks, now known as the Broken Standard. Nynn’s tenure as Standard captain barely lasts a month, before he is inducted into the Imperial Guard by then-Emperor Cedromar Kade, following a failed assassination attempt on Heikki. Now imperialised to Nathan, and granted a Humanum soul from his previous half-Elven status. He spends some time as the Knight-Consort of Cedromar, and then later marries him in 306AC. Just prior to his marriage, Nathan’s daughter, Araidith, is burned at the stake for crimes against the state. With his faith in Regalia shaken once more, Nathan’s future seems much less certain. Nathan soon divorces and splits from Cedromar, now Cedric once more as the Prince-Marshal. Still struggling with the death of his daughter, Nathan departs the city, choosing instead to live a more solitary life in a cabin in the woods of Regalia. For the time being, his present seems much less lively, and indeed much less optimistic, than it has ever been.
