What is Musicbound?
Musicbound is a resource pack in a similar vein to Massivebound, but looks to add musical instruments instead of weapons and props. The instruments are as follows:

(Color) Bagpipes- A droning wind instrument. You know what bagpipes are...
Baryton- Half harp, half cello. It has strings behind the neck that you pluck for a harp-like sound, and bowed strings in front.
(Large/Small) Crumhorn- A wind instrument in the shape of a 'J' that sounds a bit like a recorder mixed with an oboe. It has a very poor musical range, but comes in a variety of sizes.
Erhu- A two-stringed bowed Chinese instrument.
Hand Gong- A small, handheld gong. Traditionally Asiatic.
Hurdy Gurdy- A string instrument that drones like bagpipes due to having drone strings alongside melody strings that are vibrated by a wheel. The wheel is turned using a crank.
Lute- A sort of medieval guitar. Common amongst bards.
Nyckelharpa- Similar to the Hurdy Gurdy, the Nyckelharpa uses keys to change notes. However, it is bowed.
Oud- The precursor to the lute, from the Middle East. Notable that this instrument plays microtones (Notes between the notes of the western 12-tone scale).
Rebec- A sort of medieval viola. It is similar in appearance to a lute, but is held to your chin like a violin.
Shakuhachi- A bamboo flute. Traditionally Japanese, it is played with a lot of embellishments and grace notes.
Shamisen- Japanese three-stringed guitar.
Theorbo- A very long lute that plays contrabass notes alongside more melodic notes. It has two sets of strings: The bassline strings are tuned to a scale, and the melody strings which can be held down to create different pitches.
Tulum- The origin of the bagpipes. The Tulum comes from the Middle East.
Vielle- A sort of violin from medieval times.

Also, there is a 'Bow' used for certain string instruments. Just rename a stick for the bow.

I've Never Heard of Some of these Instruments!
This is intentional. I want to educate people about music history, and to also have people be more likely to pick unique instruments. I like teaching people and making learning fun. I feel like Minecraft is a good way to do that.

There are some ethnic instruments thrown in there for non-ailor bards. I also chose some instruments that I feel are underappreciated in the modern day, like the Baryton or the Hurdy Gurdy.

Feel like there is anything I left out? Let me know! I'll try adding them in!

How Does This Work?
Optifine. I made custom models of the instruments using BlockBench and have added them in using Optifine. I do apologize, as this means choosing between this pack and More Player Models for the near future, and Optifine is not compatible for 1.13 Forge and 1.14 Optifine breaks custom models.

To use this, you simply place it in the Resource Packs folder and select the pack in the menu, placing it towards the top of your load order. To use these models, you simply rename the item specified in the Imgur link. Most use Music Discs. This is to encourage the use of different instruments, as you might not have the disc for the exact instrument you want.

I Just Loaded this Up and it Changed my Title Screen Music!
I added a handful of custom pieces I wrote using Musescore. These pieces are completely custom. I hope you enjoy them!

Let me know if you have any questions! I'm happy to help troubleshoot if you're having issues.

Other than that, have a Massive day! Happy playing!
