Mechanics:

  • Unbound Mechanic I: Unbound Spirits gain the Shapeshift Pack Magical Variant for free. However, they only count as Disguised while looking like a Normal non-spirit/monster person.
  • Unbound Mechanic II: Unbound Spirits do not need to make a minimum investment in Magic Point Buy to unlock Sinistral Variants, but must always use Sinistral Variants, they cannot use Radiant.
  • Unbound Mechanic III: Unbound Spirits gain the Mindcontrol Pack Magical Variant for free. Additionally, they are immune to Persuasion Thralling themselves (unless they choose to be Thralled).
  • Unbound Mechanic IV: Unbound Spirits can temporarily magically infest unwilling characters, hiding in their bodies, perceiving everything, "talking" in the person's mind, but are unable to use Abilities/take Actions. (Hidden)
  • Unbound Mechanic V: Unbound Spirits are immune to anything that would read/alter their emotions or conscience, and if killed/harmed, can always respawn in a different place 1 hour later, and repair any damage.

Life Story / Plot Hooks


Much can be told about the Tall Pale Man. Some say that he is a bloodthirsty demon from the Void, creating chaos whenever he goes. Others say that he is a helpful spirit, kind even, that can bring joy and laughter to everyone around them, extending a helpful hand in dire situations. His ties to Evolism, depending who you ask, is not something that must deter you from making contact with him, as long as you have something that can intrigue him in return. Think of it as some kind of equivalent exchange, and if you can honor your end of the deal, you can be sure that he will honor his.

"I get something, You get something, it's a win win! But only if you don't really care about the consequences… "



1) His word is his contract. If he gives you his word, he is going to follow through to the best of his ability.

2) You get what you give. If met with hostility, he will return it. If met with kindness and intrigue, he will return it. He functions more like a mirror of the other person's disposition.

3) He likes causing chaos, unburdened by consequences. That span from the smallest of sources, simply revealing himself as an Unbound Spirit to an unassuming person during conversation, to the largest, conspiring against Nobility, Knighthood and everything in between.

4) In his Disguised form, he is posing as a storyteller and a traveler. He is searching for the truths behind the tales, often times spinning the tales in order to further prove his point, convey a message, or to simply satisfy his own thirst for seeing a reaction.

5) He greatly enjoys the company of other Spirits, listening to their tales and telling his own. He is unbound by standard morals and will strike up a conversation with anyone. [Rules 1) and 2) always apply]
