On the beginning of the month, two groups traveled to Farahdeen, more specifically the city of Rhub-al-Kwazarid where the ex-Sultan was supposedly hiding from his usurper uncle. Christopher Black, supported by Ania Santorski and Bastian Ravenstad would try to look for any clues to discover the location of the ex-Sultan to assist spiriting him back to the Regalian capital. Another ship carrying Charlotte Moselberg, supported by Elon Silevon, Taenerael Akkar, Ida Aonair and Issom Razzoull would make port very soon with the intention to discover the ex-Sultan's location and deliver information to the new Sultan, hoping appeasement would turn this violent war-like man away from focussing on Regalia. These two groups would inadvertently come to clash with one another in the city of Rhub-al-Kwazarid, the beautiful desert gardens and pristine palace city of the Sultans for generations.

Both Charlotte and Christopher's group searched the city for any clues. They have both received some basic information about the Sultan's supporters wearing red bandanas around their neck, though both groups had obvious difficulties fitting in. Christopher Black's group was mostly made up of a Black-Red-Blonde and Magenta rainbow of colors walking around a city that was purely inhabited by Songaskia Qadir, while Moselberg's group fell even more out of place supported by an Isldar and several Elves. Moselberg's group eventually discovered that an old man in a tavern had information on the ex-sultan's whereabouts. Charlotte, Issom and Ida eventually managed to solve the man's riddling speech to figure out the ex-Sultan's next move. Unbeknownst to them. Bastian Ravenstad had chosen the smarted, yet also laziest approach of simply shadowing Charlotte's group after he spotted them. Elon Silevon wasn't particularly the most careful tool in Charlotte's shed and spoke out loud about their plan while Bastian overheard, allowing Christopher's group to make a counter plan.

Both groups donned their disguises as they made their way to the under tunnel flood gates. Charlotte's group had made out that the ex-Sultan meant to use the sand tunnels under the city, nominally used to store sand from sand storms, to flee the city. He however required certain flood gates to operate at certain hours not to become trapped in one of the sand reservoirs. Charlotte intended to sabotage the flood gate so the ex-Sultan would become trapped, while Christopher aimed to prevent that sabotage. Charlotte's group obviously arrived first and started attempting to sabotage the floodgate, until Christopher's group appeared armed to the teeth and ready for a fight. Charlotte ordered her members to attack their enemies, staying behind to try and destroy the gate's mechanisms while they fought.'

The battle between the groups was fairly equal to a certain point. It was obvious Charlotte's members were mostly mages who had little to no combat experience or skill, being bested by extremely skilled fighters. Charlotte was meanwhile unable to destroy the mechanism by herself, so she pulled a dagger to see if she could make an entry in battle as well to tip the scales. As by mere chance, Ida's spirit wolf managed to catch Ania Santorski off guard and lunged at her throat. The beast tore off her disguise and started ripping into her throat. Bastian immediately panicked, pulling off his disguise as well as the fighting abruptly came to a halt with a shrill yell from Charlotte. The identity of her opponents now revealed, Charlotte opted that catching the ex-Sultan was not more valuable than becoming complicit to murder on nobility and drawing the ire of the entire Ravenstad family. She quickly shouted some words at Christopher along the lines of agreeing to retreat and avoid sabotaging the ex-Sultan in exchange to free passage, which Christopher had to agree with since Ania was bleeding badly into the sand and Bastian and she were in no position to continue fighting.

Charlotte's group managed to leave the scene completely unharmed without achieving their objective, but Charlotte managed to loot a Sultanic tablet that was left behind at the gate to reward anyone assisting in the sabotage, a tablet that would grant any carrier free passage into areas which are normally restricted to high Qadir officials only. Christopher's group managed to succeed in securing the way for the Ex-Sultan, who proceeded through the sand tunnels and eventually escaped the city with them. Ania's life was most immediately rescued by the Sultan's private healers who had accompanied his direct aides in fleeing the Palace, though she was still severely wounded. Her neck would require many weeks to be healed and would likely leave a nasty scar, if not make her unable to speak for at least a week, as the Wolf bit quite deep. The Sultan eventually fled all the way to Regalia along with Christopher Black and his group, who were rewarded with a reliable sum of gold in rubies and emeralds.

Information about this quest is only available to those who participated, but the fact that the Sultan is now kept safe in Regalia, arriving with a Black naval vessel, is common knowledge.
