Hello players of massivecraft. As you know minecarft 1.6 is about to come out, meaning new updates chnages and bug fixes. However it also means we have to wait a couple of long boring days for massivecraft to get back up. It will be realeased monday, next week.

Well having the horses and carpets is great and everything but im also here to bring some bad news. Before 1.6 you where able to regenerate on a full hunger bar with no penalty, however in this new update, the more damage you take, the more hunger you will lose to make up for the hearts lost.

To those who where vampires, or ARE vampire, you know what im talking about. Minecraft has basically taken the vampire plugin hunger regeneration idea(perhaps not directly, but similarly). Meaning that all players, of any race, probably also including agni, will have the effects of a human.

For example:

Humans will behave like vampires, for they regenerate hearts as they do.

Agni will also regenerate at cost of hunger, but since they are unable to eat, they will eventually starve to death.

Now Im not a vampire myself, but if we where just to update these plugins to fit 1.6 without any changes, it would not be so great. Meaning that vampires only special trait would be vulnerability to the sun and holy objects and, of course, jumping high.

This will probably mean that massivecraft will be down more than we expected, since they will be busy fixing all this. :(

Thank you for your time.

This might get fixed though. So basically June 30th is the mark? (For the release date)

Well, for one, Agni don't regenerate health at all, and their food bar is static. But this is could be an issue, though you have to remember, vampire perks are more than just regenerating and jumping.

The ability to run indefinitely because they don't lose food level, mine indefinitely because they don't lose food level, not take any fall damage, night vision, screeching(though this is more of a RP ability), Bloodlust(which will be back eventually), and a truce with monsters.

Vampires would still have ALOT of perks.

True, but i though i hear monmarty say Bloodlust will never be back (I could be mistaking)

1.6.1 was pre-released yesterday, June 28. This will allow programmers to get a head start on compatibility programming for plugins. 1.6 does have a lot of changes, not least of which is the replacement of the texture pack system. I expect any delay, though, to be from waiting for some of the core Bukkit plugins to be upgraded, not Cayorian's plugins. Just to note, the server will not be down, just running 1.5.2 until the 1.6.1 plugins are stable. This is much less of an issue with the new launcher, as running 1.5.2 is an available option.

You are saying something you can't even prove (facepalm).

Saying Massivecraft will be offline after the release of 1.6 is not right at all. We dont update immediately so just dont update your client if you want to continue to play here until we update the server.

Massivecraft will NOT be down for several days after 1.6 is released this is not correct information

Please don't make statements about the uptime of the server. Even our admins don't know anything about any planned down times and cayorion is already looking into preparations.

I meant it wouldnt be up for 1.6 immediately,

1.6 requires a new launcher, meaning that massivecraft will be playable on the old one.

In that case, im truly sorry. I meant to help. If Cayorion is already making preparations, I wish the best luck to him.

You dont have to prove that the plugins being used in massive are not meant to be played on 1.6, meaning that if they remain the same (which they will not), they would probably be full of bugs.

This is all theoretical of course, so that for those who didnt know about the update could adjust such plugins into a 1.6 friendly form. Therefore allowing them to work properly in 1.6.

Keep in mind please, that i posted this in order to help in the slightest bit, even if it where not necessary, so that the developers could have a possible idea of what bugs might show up, and of course watch out for them during testing. I myself will be looking for bugs after the update.

True, I thank you for the statement.

This isn't even that big of a issue. I think, if anything, it's a GOOD idea. It adds more of a complication to the game, a CHALLENGE, even. Suck it up princesses, and roughen your pretty little hands.

I think that the tigran should get a 5% movement bonus becuse they are tigers and it would make sence
