Huron’s worship of the Blue Crown dragons is much like anyone else’s raised in the north of Anglia—however he does not have the same hatred for the Exist as some others do. He did once upon a time but since living, training and fighting alongside Altalar for so long it has been a difficult hatred for him to maintain. Life Story. Laurens-Michel was born to a fairly wealthy family in Anglia, his mother, a native Anglian was a daughter of a merchant family who was married off to a Burdigalan-Rivellian merchant, Michel Huron. That is to say, Laurens-Michel was afforded a rather cushy childhood and was educated to a quite satisfactory degree. Despite having grown up in both Rivellia during the summers and Anglia during the winters, Michel always took more to his Anglian family. He had always looked up to his uncle, and his visits were quite often the highlights of Michel’s childhood years. Robert de Reus (de Reus being the Anglian family name) was a ranger, as were many men in the de Reus family, and despite Michel’s father’s hesitance, Michel was sent to study at the Wolf Keep when he was 13, arriving shortly after his fourteenth birthday. Under the tutelage of his uncle, Laurens-Michel excelled at many aspects of being a ranger—most notably at this age in his athleticism. It seemed as though he took naturally to the running, swimming, climbing and mountaineering the Keep was so famed for. At the age of seventeen, having studied for three years as opposed to the regular one, Laurens-Michel passed his first trial with flying colours and was sent to undergo a variety of jobs with a handful of older rangers, which were mostly second trial. During his time working jobs as a ranger, he also began his training for Second Trial, under an Oberron Altalar who went by the name of Lellegeb, an Old Ranger who had been serving as a Regalian Ranger longer than Michel had been alive. The pair spent a great deal of time together. Even well after his Second Trial training, to this day in fact, Michel stills views Lellegeb as a mentor. This was his first introduction to Sorcery. He watched Lellegeb undergo physical duress far past what should have been his limit, and possess skill with a blade far what Michel knew to be possible. As a young man, it seemed only natural that this was the next step for him as a combatant but he reluctantly stayed true to the ideals of his childhood as best he could and refrained from training as a Sorcerer. As he grew older, and passed his second trial, Michel continued his working life as a ranger, finding little time for much else between his travels. He pursued work all over the archipelago and beyond and has travelled to the far stretches and frontiers of the Empire in search of more fulfilling work, a common adage of his is ‘From Fendarfelle to Essalonia’ which he often says jokingly. Having served as a ranger for such a long time, Michel has seen his fair share of conflicts. Serving in the Ranger Crisis, First Songaskian War, Second Songaskian War as well as the recent Altalar War and Kathar War, although now, an Old Ranger he continues life now in the city having heard news of the Clicker Crisis. After an altercation with his Lieutenant-Commander, Hyledden Mairwyn who lost control of her werebeast urges Huron was killed—he has however been blessed, or perhaps cursed with a second life as an Archblood.
@birdsfoot violet After having read the sorceries, I thought Spirit Sorcery really fit Huron so I've edited his profs, all highlighted in pink.
@fuithlug Be sure to add the spells listed under his "Abilities" section, and also please indicate in his backstory when/why he decided to pick up Sorcery. Please tag me once you've made these adjustments.

@birdsfoot violet genuine apologies for editing this again so soon, after finally having caught up with the new lore I decided that Burdigalan Ithanian heritage suited Huron a lot more than straight Ithanian, and given the fast influx of Regalian Rangers that have taken to Lawrence-Michel as a leadership figure his role as a character has changed a bit so I've tweaked his proficiencies to match. I can't imagine any more changes are around the corner for a long while now. Changes: -5 Athletics, -4 sorcery to boost his blades and squad tactic. I realised the preferred weapon is in the wrong place so I moved it to fit the new format And lastly I did some mild life story tweaking to fit the Burdigalan upbringing+language All in pink.

@birdsfoot violet I've been sitting on this re-write for a while, hope it's not too soon ;) Changes: - Heartland heritage has been changed to Anglian, it fits much better with where the character is going, what had already been written and his Heartland half never really brought much to the table in terms of RP. - In lieu with the cultural change, Huron is also now a Dragon Worshipper and more religious than he had been. - Upon some interactions in-game, Huron was killed and has now become an Archblood. - The blacksteel longsword was paid for by Cecille Typhonus, who he is a Palest to. - The +8 Sorcery points have been shifted into the existing squad tactics (+5) and shielding combat (+3). - As per the culture change, the name Lawrence has been changed from the English spelling to the Dutch spelling, Laurens.
@fuithlug Please tag me once you've rectified these changes: -A sorcerer cannot become an Archblood. Please rectify this in his backstory by removing mentions of Sorcery.
