Memories From Another Time.

"And in the darkness I found my past, my precious memories all in the pages of my journal." - Tobie Peirgarten, 306AC.

Tobie sat in the attic of the Peirgarten Estate in Lorhauser, staring at the pages of an old, tattered leather book with somewhat of a grin on his face. His eyes were set upon the pages with something of a soft shimmer within his gaze.

As Tobie flipped through the pages of the journal afront him, he overlooked drawings of himself and his cousins. Reading passages written by none other but himself, many of them detailing his days spent within the city of Lorhauser. One article in particular, a more recent entry stood out and read as such.

"Everyone still looks at me as though I am some sort of creature, the buildings are ugly and tall, great red brick and imposing grey stones that detail the windows and the air is filled with smoke and the sky holds no true colour.

I miss the sounds and smells of Lorhauser and the foliage of the Leutz-Vixe countryside. I long for the silence of my small cottage in Daendroc and the company I once held. Amelina is changed, she has grown so tall and speaks to me as though I was never gone. I feel alone, even having her here and feel afraid to speak with the locals of Regalia."

He flipped through another few pages before landing upon his first happy memory of Regalia, seemingly that of a day at the circus. It detailed as follows.

"Truly, I have found love in this city that forces upon me a new life and hides me from the dark days in my past. I found a woman of brown hair and blue eyes that are deeper than the oceans boardering Rië.

The fortune teller brought her to me, a woman of noble blood and beauty that would put even the women of Daendroc to shame. She is a free spirit with more joy in her heart than that which a child might retain.

I have truly found the woman of my dreams, Kimmie Bigge."

He gave a soft smile at seeing the memory, etched in ink upon the paper of his old journal and proceeded to hold it to his chest before hiding it away in his satchel and exiting the attic with a final blow to the candle in his hand.
