i just thought there should be some sort of congratulatory thread for this really dope new minecraft plugin that our friendly and fun staff have created. was just fooling around with it for an hour or so, i really like it. can't wait for more words to fool around with in the coming days/weeks/eternity.

you did a good job. thank you!

Most of the thanks should go to @ulumulu1510

I may have been working on it a long time. But I've just been the tester and designer for how to implement it.

We want you guys to enjoy it but if you feel legitimate concerns for a word and how it affects things, make a ticket! We want this to be seamless with PvP.

I think MassiveMagic has a lot of potential if it's not overused in roleplay. If it is we're just going to have another repeat of fall 2015 where everyone and their grandma was an expert in every form of magic ever with no explanation, lol

MassiveMagic is not part of the lore. The only use it has in roleplay magic is visual effects.

Yes, but the new magic system will encourage people to roleplay as mages.
Then they'll have to go through the application process, when the new magic system comes out. But this is about massivemagic, not roleplay magic.
Personally I am excited for MassiveMagic's use in RP. Actual Approved Mages will be able to use spells for special effects in RP, which if some sparingly will be awesome. Imagine one of the rare few mages is battling and you see a wave of fire wash over a fight along with the emote.

It will look so epic.

What excites me more than the spells themselves is the teaching mechanic. I was planning on going around and trying collect as many spells as I can (Don't know how successful that will be) and then maybe either starting a mage's college or teaching them to someone else so that they can start a college.

I specifically placed the portal and NOC at roleplay spawn to make new players aware. Maybe we can squeeze in an NPC at a lobby.
