I've had a personal issue recently with Massivechat where I cannot put the full name of my character in chat. While not a gamebreaking feature, I find it odd that nicknames have a 20 character limit, whereas a named item can go to 30 characters.
Nicknames also cut off of the tab list and hologram after so many characters, so the only place where the nickname will appear completed is in the chat, which is where it's being used anyways.
I feel that 20 characters was suitable in a time when minecraft's chat limit was 100 characters. But it has been over a year since the 256 limit has been added, and nicknames should be able to be increased to 30. This should allow for longer names in chat, without impacting visuals in the tab list or player hologram.
