Clothing Descriptions Her most recognizable outfit is a brightly colored and shoulderless blouse with striking yellow color and brown trimming. Brown tights are pulled above her belly button with a line mid-drift showing beneath the shirt. Add a flowing sash around the hips and a pair of boots and she's ready to head off for her shift at the Inn. Another mostly seen outfit is a white blouse and corset paired with an extremely ripped cloth around her waist that had some attempt in being a skirt. Underneath to keep modesty is a pair of shorts that are connected by clipping to a certain pair of laced-up thigh-high boots. On Character Accessories On most of her belt-loops, forehead, or even sometimes around her ankle or wrist is a certain red bandanna worn by the Silver Sea's coven leader. She keeps it as a victory trophy of his death. A unionist pendant of gold around her neck at all times. Despite not being unionist herself; it was the last gift her late wife gave to her and was often worn by Kanna. Despite it's almost horror-like aspect, Maria treasures it. A purple gemmed wedding ring on her right hand and a golden engagement band along the other. •◄►• •◄►• ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ I|►| Too scared to wander closer.To the common outsider, someone may gain one of two different first impressions by the certainly impressionable Valnet. Whilst on the job within the Nook, Maria shows that she is perfectly capable of being welcoming and charismatic to wandering customers and patrons. Whilst distracted with work and surrounded by employees she's ever-so playfully comfortable with, she seems to be as friendly as any other Regalian shop keeper. On the flip side, finding her outside of the nook; either alone or within the views of strangers-. You'll see soon see that out from under the comfort of familiarity Maria's aggressive and invasive mannerisms come into play. New people and strangers interacting without the tie of someone already familiar will be met with harsh comments and cruelty off the bat. Though if you're able to push through that, some people have found it ignorable. II|►| Insecurities on lockdown. Insecurity is something Maria struggles with greatly. She's incredibly sensitive on self-image and making others aware of how soft she truly is. Facing others with aggression isn't just part of her anger issues but also a coping mechanism. She tries her hardest to refuse anyone from seeing a side of her that makes her seem vulnerable outside of comfortable space. Even those close to her have trouble pushing through tightly locked walls in fear of sparking anger within the tiny Eriu. III|►|Trusted For the longest time, Maria felt as if she could no longer put herself into communities and close friendships out of fear of abandonment and betrayal. Though that was quickly shut down after the return of certain individuals and those determined to get close to her. Though they still face constant aggression and attitude, it's more in a comfortable and playful manner. With those especially close she may even open up to them a tad, though never exceedingly so. Some of her friends she's even extremely affectionate and motherly too, often terrorizing her employees with grandma-like pinches on the cheeks. Responding to joy, depending on who she is with she’ll either hide away her newfound excitement or explode completely. Known to be overly energetic when extremely happy, her mood being flipped upside down. Her daring nature exceeds normality as well as putting her in a less violent and aggressive mood than usual. How would your character respond to experiencing Fear? When reacting to fear, Maria either closes up her usual offset aggressiveness and silences herself. Or goes even more ballistic. Reacting to overwhelming fear with excessive screeching and thrashing, getting incredibly violent and trying anything in her power to escape such. How would your character respond to experiencing Stress? Stress further worsens her aggressive nature. Irritation is easier come by and she is more likely to be set off into an argument or slew of insults. How does your character view Law and Authorities? Complete and utter despises both law and any sort of authority. Law and order have done nothing but trouble for the Valnet. Nothing but tear away from her considered family in the form of a coven from where they stood. Being the rebellious young woman she is, she often butts heads with anyone trying to be an authority over her. Often resorting in arguments at being told what to do. It’s extremely hard to put her in her place. How does your character feel about Races other than their own? Neutral opinion. From Kathar to Ailor, she has no differing opinion. Though to certain races she’s foreign to she tends to be more curious. Otherwise, she doesn’t see a reason to treat them differently from anyone else. How does your character feel about Religion for themselves and other faiths? Being with Marie has completely shaken the young Eriu into further hiding her devout nature to her religion. She is incredibly closed off from mentioning her religion and fakes Unionism constantly. Though doesn't’ bother to learn much about Unionism. She feels ‘to each their own’, but is quite prominent on the path she has chosen. How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world? Maria is open to both, being heavily surrounded by such back in the days of her first stay in Regalia. Even being friends with such people with inflictions. She finds no reason to treat them any differently. And is actually quite curious, seeing her past with sanguine and the Silver Seas Coven. How does your character feel towards their family? To the only family member, she has present, she’s extremely protective over them. The same goes to loved ones or those rarely close to the woman. They see a much softer and kind side to her and are cherished by Maria. What is your character the proudest of about themselves? Maria is extremely prideful, though what she chooses to brag about the most is her physical ability in combat. Constantly boasting and testing the limits of others into showing off her skills. What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? Finding new purpose without Marie, and eventually linking up with the remaining alive members of the Silver Sea’s Coven for reminiscent's sake. What is your character's biggest insecurity? Her emotional weakness. Under that ball of fire is an incredibly sensitive and easily hurt little girl. Often shielding such with her anger and insults as to hide away such weakness. She despises that side of herself and goes about hiding it desperately. What is your character's biggest fear? Lost of another loved one, or love itself. Maria has been through heartbreak after heartbreak. From those out to hurt her, to those who simply vanished or passed on from their life. She’s incredibly terrified of ending up with another and having history repeat itself or end up in a horrible relationship. •◄►• •◄►• ʟɪғᴇ sᴛᴏʀʏ Spoiler: TLDR Born 284 Ac to Aengus Valnet and an unknown mother. Family consisting of a half-sister and stepmother who resided in Ériu-Innis on Island Mórra. Childhood was spent causing mischief within her small home. Performing small pickpockets and playing childish pranks on neighbors along with her sibling. After her stepmother's disappearance, Maria from a young age was appointed the 'man' of the house. Taking care of both her sister and heavily in debt father. In search of money, Maria found new opportunity overseas within a scholarship. Leaving her father within the Islands and taking her sibling outwards to Regalia at the age of fifteen. Maria and her sister were gained access into the academy and survived off it's benefits. Due to the after-effects of Lo, the incredibly illegal academy was disbanded and the Valnets off on their own. Without any sort of stable income, Maria and her sister would flee into old town to avoid the aftermath of the war and find some sort of place to stable themselves. This is where Maria was picked up by the Silver Sea's coven, infected, and taken in as one of their own. Years would pass within the coven and eventually, it would dissolve until leaving Maria and her un-tainted sibling in its wake. They opted to leave Regalia and found themselves separated whilst stowing away on opposite ships. Maria would find herself in Ithania, unfamiliar with the language and foreign to the language. Clicking with the first common speaking individual who she went on to work for. This woman and Maria would form a relationship turned engagement after developing a close and strong relationship. Although it wouldn't last long as she was executed for cultish crimes, leaving Maria to her own devices. From there Maria returned to Regalia in search of something to drive her life further, some sort of purpose or use. Maria shortly from birth was separated from her forever absent mother and shoved into her father, Aengus’, care. Being an affair gone wrong, a child from a woman that wasn’t the man’s wife. Aengus would play it off as the child being simply left on his doorstep to avoid conflict with his current wife at the time, who was pregnant with Maria’s to be sister. Being the oldest of her father’s children, having a younger half-sister by the name Mavis. As a child, she spent her time roughhousing with her younger sibling and venturing across Mórra cause utter havoc on the island. The duo of siblings were considered street rats among the tribes residing there. Having the knack of stealing off of street vendors for fun and destroying property with paints and ink. During her teenage years, Maria’s stepmother would disappear after Aengus went into horrible debt, most likely to escape the marriage. To assist in helping her father and sister support themselves, Maria would pick up odd end jobs to keep food on the table. Though it’d prove not to be enough and she started seeking a much quicker and efficient way of grinding coin. News didn’t travel fast to the quaint Island, though whilst digging through packages and letters meant for others among the Island, her curiosity drew her to a certain envelope in particular. Not bothering to remember who it was addressed to, though she remembers the letter word for word. It spoke of a school within the Holy City of Regalia. Teachings of all sorts, such as magic and combat. She was ready to toss the letter before her eyes caught on a certain detail of a free scholarship and housing for anyone passing into the academy. This grabbed her interests immediately and she consulted her family on the matter. Her father opted to stay in his shabby home on the Island, as he felt he hadn’t the strength to move across the sea. And so, Maria and Mavis took for the docks and sailed with other sailors delivering goods to the Holy City. On their arrival, Maria went immediately to this so-called academy to get this scholarship, despite being merely a teenager with no such knowledge the School offered. It was hosted by a pair of Altalar twins, whose names have faded from memory. They were skilled in mage work and took Maria in despite her lack of talent. Having found her stubborn will enough to let her through. Years would pass within the academy, Maria staying with her sibling through the years and taking her lessons as they came. Having grown skilled with blades and sharpened her already present acrobatic ability with other mentors on the ship held academy. Though things would begin to fall around the time of Freya Lo’s reign. The twins would find themselves deceased among the war front against the voidlings, and the school shut down for good with it’s members and illegally appointed teachers stranded. Without any sort of stable income, Maria and her sister would flee into old town to avoid the aftermath of the war and find some sort of place to stable themselves. Once again, fate came to their door. For Maria on her way throughout the current tavern would be challenged by a sanguine to a duel for an exchange of coin. The cocky woman she is, she accepted without a second thought. This left her horribly broken and beaten, waking up in a tent posted within the sewers. She’d be chained there until the process of turning was complete. Having been infected with vampirism and pushed into the notorious Silver Seas Coven. A coven she deemed to be her family for years to come, even after getting cured. Friends names built up in her mind, Silver, Ben, Neu, and others lost in memory. Though like most things, it would prove not to last. Having her interests stolen by a certain Northern by the name of Tytus after the Silver Seas had dissolved and sailed off elsewhere. She spent most of her time with him, her third fling besides the Altalar and the leader of the Coven. Their relationship was certainly less than healthy, constant fighting and screaming. Tytus drew close to trouble, often dragging her along with and as a result leaving her bruised and beaten. Wanting to escape this trouble without actually facing it head-on, she opted to fake her death and vanish from Regalia for the time being. Wanting to leave Coven and gang shenanigans behind her, taking her sister elsewhere. The duo would get separated when planning to stow away on delivery ships, ending up going their separate ways. Maria ending up somewhere in Ithania by the end of her adventure, with being so foreign language wise she sought after the first Common speaking job to take. She ended up working for a woman whose name was oddly enough extremely similar to Mairín’s Imperialized one. She was an Ithanian woman with raven black hair who dwelled in hosting events within her book-filled manner. Her name being Kanna 'Marie' Yamazuki. Kanna was an obsessive Unionist who Maria grew to care for greatly with her time spent assisting her. This being the first woman that ever caught the red head’s heartstrings, making her confession quite slow and awkward to make. Luckily enough Kanna accepted these feelings and through Maria’s young adult years they were engaged. But what Maria didn’t know was behind the scenes Kanna ’s devout unionist ways grew obsessive and infested her mind. She had gone mental, taking the life of innocent guests through her events in the quiet of her hallways. Claiming they were a disgrace to the Spirit, and that Maria herself was the only one able to contain such a high deity. Kanna ’s crimes caught up to her and she committed suicide before they were able to burn her at the stake. Taking the engagement ring she had worn for all those years with her, as well as the last gift Marie bestowed upon her, a unionist pendant. Maria moved on elsewhere for Regalia to seek further opportunity on where to take her adventure next.

Please correct this and make it so she's fully fluent in Daen. Life Story This is currently a massive wall of text, please break it up into appropriate sections to make the information easier to read through. There are a few unsavory bits in here that I'm uncomfortable with, but I won't mandate their removal, though consider either glancing over or leaving those bits to be discovered in character. Make these changes and I'll be glad to mark it as approved.
