my great idea: adding pockets of stone or even better, 1 block high "plates" of the new stones, to make it more layered like irl. spawned using massive restore. plz add! i think it is a great way to give players the new stone

not as great: coral reef out of wet sponge added to the massive restore mod

plz add more things like that to either give new blocks to players or add cool and natural structures

also prismarine should be incorporated

I would hope some of the world's in the works will have the new blocks, but it would be nice to have a way of obtaining them in the mean time.

You can already craft diorite and granite if that's what your asking

There's already a way to get the stone variants, as stated above. Additionally, there used to be natural sponge in Daendroc or ellador (Can't remember which), and it is an extremely rare block worth quite a bit of money. Adding them in a abundance will crash the price for them and annoy quite a few people who have investments in large amounts of sponge.

To be honest, I hate the new stones. Sure, they're there if you want to make them (via crafting, etc), but I personally don't want to see them generated naturally.

I'm one who likes everything neat, and if, say, I'm building a darkroom, I want all the walls, floor, and ceiling to be the same type of stone. If there are little patches of granite or diorite it drives me insane.

You can just run around the darkroom and replace the stones; it's not that difficult, but the end result is a very nice darkroom, if everything is smooth stone/(polished) new stone. The only problem is that if the render isn't high enough, it's very easy to get lost.

Prismarine isn't a medieval block, I think, and neither are its cousins. As cool as it would be to have them implemented in-game, it wouldn't fit the universe.

i think that my "plates" idea would make it look more natural. btw i know you can craft new stones.
What do you mean by plates? Would these be custom blocks?

Massive doesn't have custom blocks because for the server to have custom blocks, players would also have to install the mod just to join the server, which will never happen. Every player will always be able to play MassiveCraft with vanilla.

He means like, look at our own planet. plates of stone.
Etc, top layer, middle layer, bottom layer. Bedrock being the bottom, Regular stone the top and one of the new ones being middle, then the stones being distributed as if it were earth-like, no mods required :)

A very realistic way of looking at it, Even though I doubt we'll see this implemented

well you know how in vanilla the rocks spawn in round chunks
well the rocks would spawn in round skinny plates about 7-17 blocks across, then they wouldnt be everywhere but would still look natral in cliffs and caves and mountians

Oh, so flat veins of the new stone variants? That would be pretty cool, actually.
Could this be implimented in existing worlds with MassiveRestore? The original world would have to be edited with the new rock plates/shelves, I think, but I don't know too much about the plugin. In the new worlds, it's definitely plausible.

yes it could, massiverestore generates pockets of ores in random locations. it would be pretty easy to implement
by the way does a staff look at this and say "yes we want to do this" or do they just read it and implement it without telling you

i think prismarine whold fit very nicely as a rare block used by the maiar in their underwater villages
although generating pockets of them wouldnt work. maybe adding the fishy things to massivemobs!
id love to see them in massive, they could even be a race, not one you can bee though
