For what felt like hours, tons of soldiers, possibly thousands, fought in battle. Their enemy, which the majority appeared to be Kathar, was what likely occupied many soldiers on the battlefield. One of those soldiers was no different; a Central Altalar, standing among Field Commander Jared Kade, was to block off the remaining Shenath from retreating.
The Altalar warrior, Holden Soliseum, clutched his steel warhammer, preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best. Suddenly, however, Kade had decided to lead a charge into the threat, which proved unsuccessful; his undoing was met when the Shenath began firing magical particals at them. It appeared that they were desperate to escape, as the cross-fire was wild within the Shenath, slaying their own allies in hopes of escaping. Next to fall was Surlegtei, who pretty much suffered from a similar scenario. If it hadn't been worse enough, the two were hit with even more blasts of magic. The final person within their group, Yuri, did not end up so well either, as his neck suffered most of the damage taken from the barrage of magic until eventually, he fell, rendering him out of the fight.
With his group pretty much down, Holden pretty much prayed to Vallea that he sees this through. He prepared to stand his ground, when the cry of Tenpennies charging in from both sides of the Shenath came crashing in. He used this distraction to activate his parlor spells, the first one making it appear as if smoke was rising off him due to battle grace, the next causing his hammer to become swirling with flame due to element branding; his favorite element. He joined the sudden smackdown against the Kathar, where some dwarves that had followed Kade had also joined in, as he swung his burning warhammer wildly.
He did not check to see if his fallen allies were in any bad position, but he had hoped that him, along with the dwarves and Tenpennies, were able to finish off the Kathar. After a long, hard battle, Holden decimated the last of the Kathar with the help of the few dwarves following Kade as well as the remaining Tenpennies. They helped take Holden's fallen allies somewhere to get patched up. After some time, word was received that none of the three would experience too much pain from their wounds, likely for a couple of days.
Upon seeing he was not needed at the moment, Holden walked off to be somewhere private for now. Dropping to a knee, resting his now-bloodied warhammer beside him, he took off his winged helmet and set it beside him before he finally dropped to a sit, admiring the scenery of the setting sun. He took a sigh, then telling himself,
"That...was definitly more eventful than a fight in any coliseum."
