Their scaled covered form is a mix charcoal black, crimson, and scarlet in coloration, sporting a serpentine lower body about 17 feet in length, with pointed scales similar to a bush or horned viper, sporting vibrant scarlet natural patterns similar to that of a gaboon viper's. In this form, their head is crowned with a head of scarlet feathery locks, and large, forward curving horns that sport a circular curve forward, with secondary crests shaped like pointed ears sitting at the side of their head. Their face and general skin is a smooth charcoal black, though patches of crimson scales can be found in an almost mask like pattern around their eyes and forehead. Slizzar Shapeshifting Guises Lyst Phyrelian As the bard Lyst Phyrelian, Lavanya takes the appearance of a scarlet haired Nelfin young man of his early 20s. Standing 5’4 in height, he is a somewhat short individual, and is often garbed in lavish and dramatic clothing. He often wears, in this form, a reddish metal hair ornament in the shape of a serpent. Serpent Guise Lavanya has shaped one of their Slizzar forms with a far more snake-like appearance, particularly from the shoulders upwards, where their head very much takes the shape of a large, black scaled viper crowned with two forward curving horns, sitting atop a long serpentine neck sporting a mane of feathery scarlet scales. In this form they sport a serpentine lower body about 17 feet in length. With their serpentine neck extended upright, Lavanya measures about 8’5 feet in height. Rokia Another more recent guise of Lavanya's is a Songaskian young woman by the name of Rokia, a traveling hand for hire. In this form they appear as a woman around 5’5 sporting a head of white hair and curving draconic horns. They often manifest a draconic tail In addition to their horns in this appearance. Asp This guise, which has become a favorite of Lavanya's, was made with a mix of Nelfin traits with reptilian features, not shying away from showing off their Slizzar nature, showing traits such as horns, facial scales, and similar patches and accents along her body incorporating her scaled aesthetics. Her hair is a bright scarlet, cut shorter in length in pixie-cut fashion, with a flared back flow, making it appear feathery in style. Mixed in along her scalp are various thin, crimson, quill-like scales, which appear to rise and droop depending on her mood. The scales along her face, found around her eyes and the sides of her face, are a charcoal-black color, extending up along the sides of her forehead to form small forward curving reptilian horns. In this form Asp has a height of around 5'6, with a somewhat curved physique, though still remaining petite. At times Asp will sport a scaled, reptilian tail in addition to normal legs, that is a mix of scarlet, crimson, and charcoal colored scales, often incorporating a stripe of the scarlet coloration along the top of the structure, with a bush viper-like pattern. At other times, such as in combat or simply when feeling like it, these legs are replaced with 17 foot long serpentine coils. Zarria In this form, Lavanya takes a Fin’ullen appearance, and is the most recent of the Slizzar’s shifts, sporting hair adorned in pale blue pearl ornaments. Vampire Form: In their vampiric form, Lavanya takes the form of a cherry white haired Nelfin guise, with an agile female appearance. Patches of their serpentine scales exist along their face, with their forward curving horns appearing as they would in their Birth Shape. Also present in this state is a reptilian tail with sharp, blade-like metallic scales and a forked trident-like tip. their eyes in this form are a purple scarlet, while her arms and legs are reptilian in appearance. In this form Lavanya employs the use of more prominent Dark Metal tech, as well as a mask in the shape of a serpent’s face over their own, capable of swinging open and locking to protect their face in battle Life Story Lavanya was born to the union of a shifted Slizzar merchant and a Teledden musician, alongside a twin sister, with whom they were quite close. During their early childhood, Lavanya and their family were often split between traveling due to their father's business ventures, and their childhood home in the island province. Lavanya's favorite visits as a child were those involving their father's visits to the Songaskian coastal cities, as the child quickly grew addicted to hearing different stories, rumors, and gossip from shiphands, pirates, and all sorts of other crowds that their father would do business with, while their sister was more interested in getting various gifts from their father as souvenirs. Lavanya's teenage years were each quite different in interests, with their sister drawn to the world of commerce, and he the world of the arts. A mischief maker who picked a fair share of habits from their childhood, Lavanya would often get into trouble simply for the sake of making things more interesting, and turning each experience into a story to share among the other youths around them. Upon turning 18, Lavanya's Slizzar heritage manifested, and their entire world suddenly found itself changing drastically as they became aware of his father’s true origins through her awakening dreams and visions. Lavanya eventually embraced their Slizzar identity, and began to incorporate their shapeshifting abilities to fuel their mischief and creativity, often creating different guises for the sake of influencing the “stories” of the people around them. Lavanya took up learning the art of music and story under her mother, and eventually took to life on the road as a traveling minstrel, creating epics and ballads of those they would encounter through their long Slizzar life, seeking out excitement and adventure. At this point in their life, Lavanya also began to take up the bow and dagger, to better defend themself and provide for themself on the road when supplies were short. As a bard, they made the identity of Lyst Phyrelian, the Scarlet Haired Minstrel. Being born among the Minoor, and upon their realization of their Slizzar nature, Lavanya made the difficult decision to leave for her own survival due to the difficult relations between Minoor Nelfin and Slizzar. After their first several decades of life traveling, and watching people age and die around them while they themself remained unchanging, Lavanya storytelling began to take on a new role in their mind, serving as a way to preserve the memory of those the world may otherwise forget and be lost to the sands of time, Lavanya became more distant from others because of a developed fear of future loss. What drew Lavanya to Regalia at the end of the day was sheer curiosity and a search for a story waiting to reveal itself. Unable to resist the siren song of the city where all manner of people flock, Lavanya sought to use its people as material for their next works. In Regalia, Lavanya, taking on the name Asp, took to a life among Crookback and the Sewers, and at one point became a Sanguine before eventually being cured. Presently, Asp works towards being more aware of what she says and does, and to better her social life after years of self distancing while training herself for her own self defense.
