I don't know about you guys, but MassiveCraft here is my absolute favorite RP server and, at the moment, is my favorite Minecraft server in general. Now, some people that live a couple hundred miles away from us on the forums (Factions and PVP, I'm talking to you), may say that Massive is so great because it is the original home to factions, and has some of the most intense and widespread world(s) of faction interaction. Others may say it's because it is full of some of the most committed PVP members. All of these are true, yes, but (Being an RPer and all, as well as being under the Roleplay section) I would like to commend our Lore Staff (As well as all those who participate in writing the Lore via Lore Prompts) and all the hard work they have put into the server's endlessly diverse Lore (Ka-Chow to them).

So what I would like to do here, is mention all the things that we love about MassiveCraft's incredible lore. Follow the formatting of my example below. I understand that the Lore also, in some ways, isn't perfect. Nothing is. So you can add things that you think need improvement or changes as well, just follow the rules corresponding with this below. :)

Rules:

  • Please don't put things as simple as, the Lore is huge. Way too vague. Give an explanation.
  • Don't put anything rude down there.
  • TRY! Think hard about this. You probably can think of a million things to say here when you are reading Lore, but right now you're blank. Think deeply.
  • Use bullets please.

Love It:
  • This is meant to put things you absolutely LOVE about Massive Lore.
  • You can also put something in here and also put that very same thing in one of the sections below.
  • Remember to use bullets and to add an explanation for why you love this aspect of Massive's Lore so much.
Improvements:
  • Same things apply here except for a few things.
  • The improvements section is meant to put things you think need improvement in the Lore.
  • Remember to add an explanation for how you think this should be done.

Love It:
  • Lore's Massive Size | Massive has such a large Lore database which makes endless Lore possibilities. I would like to thank all the Lore Staff for al the hard work they have put into this :).
  • Lore Innovation | Excluding a few things taken from other huge Lore databases, the Lore Staff have come up with a lot of really interesting and innovative Lore. They also have added some cool twists to things that we hear so often in modern fairy-tales and stories.
  • Religion, Languages, and Culture (RLC) | No a single RP server I have been on has had anything like the RLC we have here. This stuff is amazing and sooooooo useful for character creation and diversity.
  • History | Not only is the History large, but it also has some of the unique and interesting events in it that anyone could enjoy reading and using in their own backstories.
  • Formatting | I love how everything on MassiveCraft's Lore is so well formatted and organized. It makes it easy to read and highly navigable.
Improvements:

  • Prodigious Permission | With MassiveCraft's growing list of Trustee members, I think it would be good to add add some new special permissions to go along with this growth. I was thinking about some smaller things that trustees could get to do with their characters. Well, everybody seems to be determining their character's skill because of age, because that is what proficiency relies on. Well, let's say I have two 16 year-old guys, and they both have the exact same short sword proficiencies, and they face off in a duel. They both have perfectly equal chances of winning. But what if one of the two had a natural talent with short swords and excelled at wielding them, as well as dedicating much of his time to learning to wield them. I think he should then be granted something called a Prodigious Boost, where a certain amount of extra proficiency is granted to him in short swords. This would only be aloud for Trustees though, and I am unsure of the amount of extra proficiency.
  • Elemental Gateway Spell | The timing for this spell has always annoyed me so much. It starts attracting corrupted essence after only TEN DAYS!!! (Sorry for my over-exagerration, I just feel very strongly about this). This completely ruins the spell. Firstly, how would a person have enough time in character to get to really use this totally awesome spell. It also prevents the spell from being used for long term travel. In the medieval world, it would take far more than ten days to get a decent distance way from the Regalian Archipelago. And for use within the walls of Regalia, most things are walking distance away from each other. Things like palaces and estates are far too heavily guarded to have a secret Elemental Gateway inside to sneak in from. Plus how does one OOC walk into the place to begin with with all the locks on doors, the gateway is only IC, we still have to walk OOC. The Slums is slightly different I guess, but if one were able to get inside in the first place, they should be able to again.
  • The Slums renaming to... Old Town | Way too Western!!! Regalia is a huge city with people everywhere and it is constantly getting modernized (Within a medieval sense). Why would a district of housing, within the walls of this very urban city, be called Old Town? Not much more to say there, as everything is already implied.
