A night of twin fires. Seized upon by both sides a rage most foul. Disdain from worlds untouched, unexplored. Crafted and legislated in the minds akin to a hellscape of what each would believe constitutes justice. Glorious amalgamations of the most sinister of thinking: Fear, hatred, passion, love, and distrust. Each driven by the fear of redundancy, hatred of their kin, passion of their craft, love for their own, and distrust of those not.

There lies an issue; however, for are we all not of such? Many a heart that night was without doubt shrouded in a lust for revenge, in a determination to light the beacon of justice so brightly that none could ignore its luster. But in doing so, they have but burned themselves in its blind, righteous fury. For to bear the torch of justice with duly noting its intensity, its responsibility; is beyond the reach of a normal citizen. To those that turned that passion into resolve, reconstruction - I thank you.

Some will question my position on the matter, clearly noting my affiliation with the Estellian church. But I will surmise that prayer to Estel does not equate to prayer to the Exist - nor its residents. Further, most certainly, not the rash destruction of populations at a misplaced ideal for an 'eye for an eye.' They will look to my speech made before my position - noting my stances then. I will affirm again that my position was of state mandate - never the wanton actions of a group of enraged citizens.

When I took the oath into office, elected by my diverse comrades, my loyalty to myself and to the Estellian church was halted. For as Lord Commander my loyalty alone lies in serving the Emperor, serving the state, and serving the guards who have entrusted me to lead them through the storms that may batter Greygate.

To the Voidlings, sewer-dwellers, and to those affiliated with them. I ask you plainly, do you remember Fort Mandla? To the Existlings, 'righteous' citizens, and their affiliated with them. I ask you plainly, do you remember Avela Travinda in 140AC? Power answered with greater power, death with more death. A vicious cycle fueled by fear and hatred.

To those of you who have given up hope on the authority of the Violet Guard. Become part of the solution then, enlist in the ranks and help make us better. Otherwise? Stand aside and let us do our job. I do not tolerate the whining of those that would do nothing to truly assist the situation.

To all citizens and non-citizens who kept the line and did not falter in this night of unspeakable atrocities I thank you for your resolve. We will need much of that and more in the future.

For the Emperor and the country,
Lord Commander of the Violet Order Bel-Gyarbrin

By the authority of the Violet Order
  • All suspects involved directly or indirectly in these arson attempts will be captured and punished accordingly. The Violet Order will work with the Crookback Council in apprehending these criminals as both for justice and a symbol of solidarity in such conflicted times. @Mollymock
  • Citizens are asked to keep clear of Petal Court and the Festival Grounds unless otherwise mandated by the state in order to ensure no further harm.
  • Any and all suspects involved are asked to turn themselves over willingly lest they be working against the authority of the state.

TL;DR:
  • Speech. Violet Order-Crookback Council working on arrests. Turn yourselves in.

In Hadar a Url reads the words with a smile, "we have a Chancellor to be proud of men! I stood against the Archbloods wish to Burn Petal Court besides Cal. I will oppose this insolent stupidity, I do not like the bay burning but it is their own faults."

a Missive to all the Treji Clan within the city.

I will not pretend you are all Angels or Devils,

but as the Patriarch of the Regalian Sect of the Treji. I command to what ever extent possible, Everyone from my children to my grandchild to every kinsmen and bearer of the Tattoo. You will not help any of these Groups who burned Petal Court. The burning of women and children is something Unforgivable in The Union of Fire. If any of you disobey...I will return to Regalia and deliver the Gods Punishment myself.

If you have helped them do it no more!!

The Bay brought this upon themselves and I give all of you full authority to claim the state bounties upon the Perpetrators. May the Shadow Man's words ring true even if he is a thief and may rhe Chancellor's words ring true even if he is a Noble.

"They better mean by 'criminals' they also speak of the Nobles and the people who burned down Crookedback. So that if we get punished they don't get off scot-free. However I wonder how far they will go, you have the group who cares about the law, and the group who doesn't. Really what goes on in the minds of those in power?"
Someone from somewhere mumbled, going to throw the paper into a nearby fireplace.

A certain Mahalar passed by the notice, her eyes widening somewhat as she plucked it off the board and continued walking as she read. Her footsteps quickened in pace as she continued her read, quickly returning home and closing the door, "<Z> Well well, I suppose all my war crimes from the Chrysant were going to catch up to me soon enough. Let's see them find me however." With a chuckle the woman stepped out of her home, quickly moving along to alert her comrades. @KadorThePotator @HuskyLeader
