After reading threads where both sides said they killed like 50 people, I have an idea to help stop debates like this. This Kill/Death List would basically add a command, like /kdlist, that would list everytime you die or get a kill, how you got the kill or died, and when it happened and where. This would be useful for a multitude of reasons.

I just have the fear that people will use alt accounts to boost their kill count...just that. The idea is good, but the value is somehoew not very reliable in the end.

The idea isn't terrible, but certain people would lolraid noobs so they can brag about how great they are.

mabye it would only keep history for say a week or a month so its more of a record keeper than a score board

NOEZ! Now the world will know about my secret awesome pvp skillz! (bandit)

I do like the idea of a record book rather then a score board.

It sounds good, but there do excist a lot of back sides to this which is mentioned already here.

It could probably be tested just a week to see how it goes, and maybe make a vote or talk about it. If it should stay or not.

I don't think a kill/death ratio should be included in this plugin, just to prevent people having debates about it. And if it did, it would only count kills or deaths that happened while pvping, and while pacifist is off if you're premium.

How this roleplay though? Think about it, a magic counter that records your kills and deaths and can be summoned instantly?

It does feel like this would serve as nothing more than an ego booster. The only thing more annoying than someone bragging about all the 'nubs' they killed is someone bragging about all the 'nubs' they killed with photographic evidence.

This might help admins out as well, say if they need to know when someone killed you when said person was hacking or something like that.

It would also let us know who is truly winning a war I think something like thsi should be added but in factions 2.0 for wars a kill counter that only works if your faction is at war with them it only counts kills of those faction members

You could add the names of the people who you died to and the people you killed.

Over all even though boosting with alts is possible those are very good points about wars and to catch hackers.

Here's a suggestion,
A list of 100 people with rank one being the best and rank 100 being the worst. How you move up an down the list, or if you are on it at all, would be dependent on who has killed you and who you kill.

If you are on the list and killed by someone else who is after you on the list you move down to your killers rank and everyone who was ranked between you before you were killed and your new rank moves up one rank.

If you are on the list and are killed by someone who is not on the list then you get kicked off the list, you killers moves to rank 100 and everyone who is between your rank before you were killed and rank 100 moves up a rank.

If you are on the list and are killed by someone with a higher rank nothing happens. The same applies if you are not on the list at all.

Alternatively every player could be on the list.

I know the list would get scrambled around a lot in battles and raids but considering everyone would always be getting knocked out I think it would be a good system to see who the best pvpers are and give people gloating rights. Of course if they gloated about there pvp skills and some low ranker killed them they would have to work to get there prestige back. Also, it would make the top spot a very coveted position and it would be fought over all them time so if you wanted to be the top pvper you would have to fight off people all the time making it a hard position to keep.

0-o how about they just add a bounty plugin? Like bounty hunters? Just add a list and they complete it in x amount of time. If they don't no prize

Not sure how that's at all related to this thread other than the fact it involves killing people...

Anyway, they did have a bounty plugin once but targets would just get a friend to kill them an split the reward.

There really isn't a need for every little plugin, and feature to be 100% roleplay. The server already has plugins that you could say are not "roleplay" such as the friends plugin, the ability to check other peoples races, he tool, and many others... For all of these you can ask the question how is this roleplay? There is a point where you draw the line between roleplay, and the pure functionality/utility/practicality of the server. Having the ability to view other peoples kill/death ratio would be on that same level. Perhaps it should be a "score" or "experience" based system where your score increases depending on which people you kill: so if you kill people with higher "scores", you will obtain more experience thus getting a higher "score".

I agree with Ikorloch
