    Heritors of the Tabula Rasa

There is no fable or story which chronicles the inception of Kaahl Dzekh'aar: it is a kinetic and reactionary thing, born entirely out of the perceived necessity to protect those of the underground in the face of mounting opposition and waning support. A gambit to provide unity and sanctuary to the Kathar moving together into an uncertain future.

    ——————❇——————

The tenants of the Kaahl are sparse but concise:

    Safeguard one another.
“Defense of the Kaahl is paramount. Have each other's backs, never prioritize personal affairs over protecting a brother or sister.”

    Do not succumb to complacency.
“Seek improvement through any and all avenues, never settle for ‘good enough’. Personal growth is vital."

    Revere your freedom.

“Do as you wish, let none stymie the pursuit of your ambitions.”

Most importantly, perhaps, is the final edict. So long as an outright betrayal of the Kaahl is avoided, every member is highly encouraged to explore their wants and whims. Sanguine, Werebeast, Crook or Saint -- it doesn’t matter.
Live as you will it, and be prepared to fight to preserve that liberty.

    ——————❇——————

The Kaahl is currently headed by Qalhata Dzekh'aar, who loosely regulates the anarchistic clan.

    Oath of the Immolated

    • Meaning of the Oath:
Warrior caste of the Kaahl. Those swearing the Oath of the Immolated participate in a ritual wherein they seek out the weapon of an enemy and claim it as their own, returning to the Kaahl to have it melted down and forged into a personal weapon of wrought black, tempered in Voidal flames, which is a symbol of their status and service to the Kaahl. Losing, trading, or abandoning this weapon is a failure to uphold one’s Oath and is punishable. This weapon is referred to as a “Vaalthruun,” meaning “hand of rage” in Kathar Altalar.

    • Induction Trial:
To advance within one’s Oath and complete their induction, one must: defeat an enemy in single combat that is reasonably stronger than they are. Alternatively, they may defeat two or more enemies of lesser worth while outnumbered.

    Oath of the Unadorned

    • Meaning of the Oath:
Infiltrator caste of the Kaahl. Those swearing the Oath of the Unadorned undergo a ritual wherein they and the other Unadorned bury sentimental items they own in the forest surrounding the estate, symbolic of a partial abandonment of their identity to serve as a greater infiltrator. This is to be replaced with a trinket they later steal or are gifted whilst on assignment, returning with it to the Kaahl to corrupt and Tamper the item, adopting it as proof of their aptitude.

    • Induction Trial:
To advance within one’s Oath and complete their induction, one must: successfully infiltrate a local Nelfin group and, through whatever means necessary, acquire forbidden knowledge with or without their target’s knowing. Alternatively, steal an item of significant value (1000 regals or more).

    Oath of the Attendant

    • Meaning of the Oath:
Domestic caste of the Kaahl. Those swearing the Oath of the Attendant undergo a ritual wherein they build, alongside the other Attendants, a set of wind chimes with a unique sound to them; these are hung at the door or archway leading into any place they call ‘home’, signifying that it is under their care. Should these chimes ever be removed or destroyed, it is assumed that the Attendant is failing in their duties to uphold the sanctity of their home.

    • Induction Trial:
To advance within one’s Oath and complete their induction, one must: host a successful event at the Kathar’s place of residence that involves at least 10 attendants, not including the host (they can receive help in organizing and executing on this event). Alternatively, save somebody on the brink of death from perishing, OR create an item of great value (1000 regals or more), OR be recognized as a significant contributor to Kaahl atmosphere (decided by Kaahl Matriarch/Patriarch).
