James was born on the common roads of the Empire, where he was abandoned and taken in by a Heartland ship builder. He was raised with no siblings, and has no blood family that he knows of. He has always wanted to meet his birth parents, even going so far as to learn Wa'an to try to contact other Sihai. Skin Color: Tannish, lighter-skinned compared to most Sihai Clothing: Wears a simple green outfit in Heartland Caerdian style. Height: 5' 9" Personality (Option 2) Choose your Character Alignment Lawful Neutral Choose your Character Personality Type The Advocate Choose your Character's Religion Non-religious, 1 Life Story James' birth parents were unmarried Sihai travelling the empire who birthed a bastard and left him in a discreet spot to let nature have its way. He was found by a travelling Heartland shipmaker, who swaddled him into a bag and took him to his home. From there he was raised as an Ailor, despite being born a Sihai. James didn't pick up the craft of his adoptive father, but became a scholar of law and an avid boxer with those he was raised with. As his father was a smith for the Navy, he often went to public events that the Navy held, familiarizing himself with the military. Eventually, his interest of the military waned, and as he came of age, he left his adoptive father to make himself a place in the world. He started out as a scholar, seeking as much knowledge of Sihai as he could, but turned towards law as he worked from group-to-group. Once he had familiarized himself with Law, he turned to Diplomacy, placing his sights back on making contact with Sihai, studying Wa'an for good measure. In his spare time, he traveled from town-to-town, picking up simple bladed weaponry for protection, while still boxing for sport from time to time. During his travels, he temporarily joined a band of actors, enjoying theatre from the stage. When the group disbanded, he managed to get his hands on most of the manuscripts, studying them for himself to better his acting skills. One night three years ago while he was on the road, he was attacked by bandits and taken to their camp, as they thought he would be able to tell them of Sihai caravans moving from the Capital to the surrounding cities. Fearful for his life, he lied and told them about false caravans that didn't exist. As insurance, they kept him locked up with the intention to kill him. After the bandit raid party left for the caravan, the camp was attacked by a coven of vampires, who let the scared Sihai escape when he told them where the raid party left to, as they believed a Werebeast was among their ranks. Due to this, he has a begrudging respect for Vampires, but is still fearful of them.
