While once upon a time she may have been Unionist, she was never very devout. 1/10. Life Story Ages 0-8: Isabel lived a relatively normal childhood in a small village on Etosil lands. However, she was one of many children: the fourth of six. All of her elder siblings happened to be boys, so casual playtime meant her playing boyish games and being heavily influenced by their mischief. She was often overly violent and cocky for a small child in an attempt to grasp her parents shared attention. She learnt early on that the best way to get the attention she craved was to go against her parents' will and be as boyish as possible. Her small self rebelled by getting one of her brothers to shave off most of her hair when she was nearing 8 years old. Ages 8-18: A couple weeks after her eighth birthday, a raid ravaged their village. The Szabadok wrecked the land and pillaged the homes, murdering and delimbing as they pleased. When they entered Isabel's home, her father was the first to die. Her elder brothers who were now too old to be considered children soon followed, unable to retaliate. Fear and rage consumed her, she picked up a blade much too heavy for her, and dragged it along the floor, unable to lift it. She looked up at the attacker and screamed as though heading into combat. He laughed, of course. She was harmless. "You want to fight, little boy?" Her short hair was misleading, after all. Shocked, and confused, she just sort of… nodded. The man threw her over his shoulder and stuck her on the back of his horse. "Brave kid. You can call me father now." And so, she was adopted by the Szabadok and promptly renamed "Iskra". It didn't take too long for her new father to realise she was actually a girl, but her naive bravery had been rewarded nonetheless. She quickly got accustomed to the Szabadok ways, and embraced the new culture as her own. She decided not to think of her brothers anymore. She trained in combat alongside her new siblings, showing promising signs of wanting to become a warrior. Ages 18-28: In fact, Iskra adored combat, and despite the gender separation policies, she seemed to have no skills nor likes for any house-keeping duties given to her. Instead she was a fighter. She decided to never marry and never have children, wanting to be conscripted into the army if ever the chance arose. She was allowed onto raids a couple times by her father though, and enjoyed it a bit too much. Despite never wanting marriage nor children, Iskra did find a lover: Bella, one of her new brother's wives who had been 'acquired' in a raid. This woman happened to be an Alais vampire, which explained her entrancing allure. Iskra aspired to be like her. And luckily for her, Bella loved Iskra; a bit too much. They became passionate yet secret lovers, and Bella begged, or rather, persuaded Iskra to turn and spend eternity with her. And so she did. At the age of 28, Iskra became an Alais vampire. She and Bella left suddenly, going to visit other nations, the lovers wanting to explore more of Aloria together. Ages 28-55: Things were going well. Bella and Iskra traveled the world together, doing to Ithania and Daendroc as well as the Dressolini lands. However, after many years of being together, Bella became careless, feeding on people as she pleased, leaving clumsy clues as to who has done it. She was killed. Wracked with grief, Iskra took revenge on her lover's killer by returning the deed. She then fled to somewhere far away: the Crown City of Regalia, to start off a new chapter of her life.
