Gard Law Firm- "We Gard You". Getting Banned for Griefing? Got Griefed? Getting Banned For Something Else? On Trial For Violating Rules of Your Faction? Then You Need to Call the Gard Law Firm. Contact gardner1105 if you need a lawyer or would like to purchase a share in the company. For griefing trials, we charge 20 silver, but only charge 10 silver for all other trials. We are also trying to work on a partnership with Mullisurance which would get you a house rebuilt for almost NOTHING! However I don't know if that will work out. But please, contact gardner1105 if you need a lawyer!​

Minecraft politics is ok. Minecraft banks are ok. But lawyers in minecraft, arnt you taking it a bit far?

On a more informative note I belive you have to defend your self when accused of griefing or when appealing a ban. I dont think trying to make money out of people who have been baned by been their lawyering is allowed.
 
We do not accept third party ban apeals and as such, any sort of law firm or whatever attempting to apeal someone's ban will be instantly locked and discarded.

Its not a bad idea, in my opinion. What IS a bad idea is thinking in the first place that you would be able to do ban appeals -_-

The only thing is at this point there isn't really much need for a lawyer, besides maybe minor disagreements, in which case the fee is ridiculous.
 
*Gets a loan from mechbank to buy an enchanted book, with which he finishes his god sword and sells it at Aether co. auctioning house, pays off mechbank, and hires a lawyer from Gard law firm* I'm not mainstream!!!
 
Lawyers will be useful for player-to-player disputes. For example, if a faction's member griefed another faction, that faction may get a lawyer to talk with them about settling charges.
 
Yea... I don't really think this would be a fun kind of RP for anybody except yourself, the one who would be making ridiculous amounts of money. Also, I think I can defend myself just as well as you would, perhaps even better. I've studied at Golemlord's Not-Fake Academy of Awesome Lawyerization, where'd you get your degree?

In seriousness, while this might be a neat little thing for in game disputes such as "bladeeblah stole this" or "soinso killed this person", when somebody is banned, that is completely and 100% up to the admins, and like others have said, only the banned person can make the appeal. This is a tad silly, just saying.
 
Agreed, the idea is rather silly and way overpriced. I would also like to know where you got your degree from. I got mine from The Far Away Killer Emu Academy of Law. The FAKE academy of law for short. I studied under Professor Ajsgdsdfuor Gibberish, author of the book "How to be a lawyer in 5 easy steps".
 
Ha ha ha. These responses are the best part of this thread. Anyway, back on topic, the prices should be significantly lower. For example, if 2 players have a monetary dispute it would probably be around 5-20 silver, lets say. Then, they have to pay the 10 silver and they walk away with... pretty much nothing.
