Hello, today I am looking for information on The Sword of Light. I'm asking all you veterans out there and newbies just to say what you know. I want to create a Write-Me Lore on it so I need some info, mainly these points.

1. What the heck does it do?

2. Where is it now? (in your opinion)

3. Was it ever even an item IG?

4. Who has it or claimed to last have it?

Looks good! Unfortunately, I know nothing on the subject… not even enough to make something up from.
Nice idea though! I'll consider helping write it once some starter ideas are up.

I think this might be outdated lore. Where did you first hear about this? I feel like I vaguely recall it from some sort of lore book, but it's very foggy.

Something tells me it's no longer in the lore any more, or at least relevant.

I believe the Sword of Light was suppose to be some godly weapon that would help against the continuous struggle against the void demon thingys. If I remember correctly, it was suppose to be in Ellador somewhere.

Don't take my information to be 100% correct. I could be completely wrong.

The Sword of Light was the only thing Baver was afraid of. I can't remember where they said it was, maybe somewhere hidden in Ellador or Ceardia. Rumors had arisen that it had been found, but that's most likely not true. It is said to be the only weapon that could kill Baver, and I'm just hoping that's how her reign ends.

I remenber it was the only weapon that could defeat Baver, and Laura Redblock was trying find it, but no one had any clues about where it was, i think it was connected with a outdated magic, Shield of Light, the shield was something that protected Ceardia.. Our something like this.

I wanted to turn this into a joke thread about a sword that lets off disco lights and turns battles into dance offs with funk music in the background, buuuuut that would take too much effort. Suffice to say, the sword wields the power of the gods...

Is it like a legit item you can find on the server?

Well, it's a myth. I heard about my first time on the server, it is apparently the only sword that can kill/ maim Mrs. Baver.

I don't think it's outdated, unless you say so.

Well it's a myth so you can't ever be wrong. Thank you.

Are you referring to the sword that was supposed to be the only thing able to kill Baver?

Never knew about a SHEILD of Light, thank you.

No, the lore I shall write about it make it totally a myth. However, I'm not sure. Was an item ever made and named this by someone veterans?

It was something that was rumored to be given to a player (probably a staff) to destroy baver. It was mainly a myth and was never given much thought.

It was back from the basic, "stop MrsBaver" lore format when that was really all there was to the lore. Those days are long gone.

@The Shadow King The shield of light isnt a a real shield, but a magical barriar stopping monsters from entering regalia. I think.

Regarding the sword of light in a serious manner...

Kenikari - Sword Light - Sword of Lights

This blade is believed to have been forged by the Seraph, containing a powerful magic and a soul sealed within it. The blade is often mistakenly called the "Sword of Light" because of bad translators, but in reality it contains many lights, and uses many different types of magic. The magic is typically fire, light, and wind styled magic; using these magics of the void the sword can easily slice through the veil between this world and the Void. It has vanished into history along with the Seraph civilization, but is rumored to lie somewhere in the heart of Old Ceardia, and is said to have been the cause of the Doom - someone created a gateway using its power and through it game the destruction and demons of the Void, just as they had come through the original gateway and layed waste to the Seraph.

Alternate:

The "Sword of Light" is not an actual sword, but a type of magic that allows access to the source of magic, the Void. Designed to cut through the veil between Aloria and the Void, it was crafted by the Seraph in a misguided attempt at gaining more magical energies. Called the "Sword of Light" it is in reality a sword forged by mixing all the known types of magic into a single powerful spell. The appearance of this spell is a deep black emptiness filled with stars, with the original Seraph name being "Gate of Candles" which was eventually turned into "Sword of Light" as time passed. The "Sword of Light" allowed the first demon invasion that toppled the Seraph, and when SilverEdge created their own attempt at a "Sword of Light" to gain more magical power so that they could battle the Dark Banshee it unleashed the Doom of Ceardia. As of now, the status of the "Sword of Light" in SilverEdge is unknown, but it is assumed to still be functional because the Doom remains.

Thank you for writing my lore for me!

:D sorry sorry! I just love writing lore. For the record, the "Sword of Light" (portal thing) did exist in SilverEdge, it was called "Magic Experiment" and teleported people up to the balloon so they could die while not properly aiming themselves at the fountain there.

I am doing something entirely different though so I don't really care.

Thank you for that little extra bit of info.

There was actually a failed expedition to find the Sword of Light. I read about it on the old Massivecraft Wiki. Supposedly it ended when the entire group was trapped in a house by mobs summoned by MrsBaver, with members of the expedition going insane and trying to kill each other.

Well, I am definitely going to add that, what island was it on though? Ceardia?

Add thst lady Montgomery found the sword and sold it for 5 regals.

No one knew where it was. One story is that the strong eddies in the Space-Void Continuum surrounding the blade attracted human settlers and that at its location beneath the surface caused the city of SilverEdge to be located where it was located.

The sword of light is a metaphore, it never physically existed.

(Sniffles because memories of Silver Edge days coming in.) I remember when people used to think it was an actually sword in some tomb that was hidden when Ellador came out, and people actually spent their time walking around looking for some sword in some chest.. I also remember several people pretended they had found it. Didn't really work out.. I had kind of guessed that it wasn't real, anyway.

I have the perfect place for it! Thank you.

Hello,

I would like to assist you in the writing of the lore for the heavenly item, seeing as I have known and red all, if not most, of the LEGIT postings on said item. I can unfortunately say that most of what you have been told here is a lie. The sword of light is actually located, or at least rumored to be located, in Ellador. Runes in a daendroc system hinted towards Ellador.

If you could consider the offer I have proposed, I would love to supply you with the rest of the knowledge. Along with perhaps suggestions and additions to what you and I may write.
