long ago, i joined a faction named stronghold. it was a great faction, with people who really knew how to build!
i was in this faction for a very long time and learned the ropes of Massivecraft. i loved this faction and i was SUPER exited but also dismayed when it was disbanded and i could walk around in my old base.

a salute to you hiu, i finally think i can spell your name right: @hiu
thanks for the world's best faction!
and now, as it is restored. let us take one last look at what is left.

Look at the factions list, and tell me stronghold was the best , I've been there , and their builds are mediocre compared to some of the builders here on massive, so please stop acting like they were the top faction in the world and just get over it, they weren't , along with 95% of factions , a big deal

it's the memories i made there, in my opinion it was the best, it was disbanded so its not on server list

You know, it's really hard to compete with the big and strong factions that have been around for years.

With that said, this guy is just paying respects to his old home, and you shouldn't really have anything against that.

Whoa dudes! Don't all pile on Miracle678. While he presented his message a little coldly, he's not wrong. That being said, faction memories are always awesome. You can still see my first and only faction on the dynmap.

Looks like a fun place to live, too bad Daenderoc is getting deleted eventually. ;-;

At least I presume that's Daenderoc. Jungle and all that. If I'm wrong, so be it.

Daendroc indeed. It was a fun place to start, but my building skills have taken quite a jump from this. It was at one point in time the largest clut of clean clay in any of the worlds. Then over the years, it all got stolen and griefed.

Not necessary, and not up to you to decide which faction is the best.
You have the right to your own opinion, but I hope you soon learn that shoving your opinion down other people's throats and being completely ignorant of others is not accepted within this community.
I honestly think you owe Mark a apology.

Mark, sorry to see that faction go bud, glad to see you enjoyed your time there.
 
it was the best faction in my opinion not because of the stats but because of the friendly atmosphere and good people. that means more to me then any statistics that only measure the amount of people or the amount of land claimed.

hiu i have two saplings, one birch and one spruce, that i took from the caves underground the base. as a memory.

First off, I'd like to commend @markcraft27 for changing his statements to opinion , as before I acknowledge that I was a bit rude, but he made it sound like flame, and I did not want that to be taken the wrong way. Also, I think you all don't realize is all I said was that they weren't the best faction on the server, there are hundreds of factions that this applies to.. Stronghold was a good faction, they worked together really well. So please, re read what your about to insult, thank you.
 
Hey guys, let's focus on appreciating old factions, instead of discussing the semantics of people who disagree : D
 
As Marty said, let's focus on the positive things about the faction. Oftentimes when negative things are brought up, they are done so in hostile ways and often lead to personal harassment and rude things being said. So please keep the flame down.

While everybody has the right to an opinion, be careful where that opinion leads you. You might not like where it goes.

Ah, this was back in my super nub days when I had no clue how factions and roleplay were related. Aha, I had a friend who decided to make a faction after my break from the server, and invited me to join. I joined and gosh we had a lot of fun there. It was a roleplay faction though, obviously full of RPers, so we finally gave up after my friend left the server and we were constantly being raided by one of the biggest PVP empires. Eh, It was fun while it lasted, though. I wish I could still find it, but I dont even remember the name. It was located in Ithania and mostly underground, but probably exposed to heavy greifing sadly.

I've never really been one for Factions on Massive anyway, due to PVP which isn't my thing.

And for stronghold, I regret that I never came to know it. I know how special factions can be to people.

Dear, I remember my early attempts at Oriental design. This was the first one, first ever, and yes, it was a faction (not Massivecraft) although not mine but one we ruled in a triumvirate. This was back in the July of 2012.

Yes, I counted the steps leading up to the entrance, 100 steps (slabs) just like a /real/ monastery. Tee-hee.

Indeed, it's splendid to see my own development. I have no pictures of my first ever faction from the summer of 2011, but let's just say I built a huge smoothstone (I ain't no lackey to use cobble eh?) tower with no windows and no doors even, just a faction teleport pad to enter. Never the less, development is the key to everything, and learning is what I did over the years in minecraft. It helped me grasp both the concept of creative building as well as taught me English, having started out from a /really/ low level.

I don't look back at my own, old builds with a warm smile on my face because they are /that/ good or /that/ beautiful. I smile because of all the good memories, and it seems like you had just those with Stronghold.

I remember my first faction...wasn't really a faction, just a cluster of chests and stuff in the middle of nowhere and it was run by that Golden Dragon guy or whoever who got banned shortly after I met him. The other faction I joined, I've been with ever since.
 
technically I've been in another faction before that. that one was a stat-best faction but i was too nooby and i couldnt find my way around and the people wouldn't let me build and no-one had time to help me. i left after a day and i joined stronghold.
life lesson: dont be like that first faction, make things noobs need easy to find and always have time to just chat with your members.
also i didn't take the whole "that's not the best faction in the world thing" the wrong way, i like constructive criticism and i need to try not to seem like I'm forcing my opinion on people.

:D The last place shown in the video was the old castle that I used to loot during my first couple months playing Massive(I went a couple months camping out in a faction's unclaimed castle, rather than joining a faction). Of course, I later found myself in the small dying faction of "Raven Point" which @Reaper1709 and I later sold when we chose to join a friend. I believe after being sold, the faction was changed to the name of "Raven Fyre" or something close to that. Man, that was a great Ellador mountain side village to be in...so inactive by the time I had joined.
 
My first faction was blackthorn, like 3 years and 10 months ago. It was a 3 tall cobble wall because there were no ender pearls and every house has a 3x3 inside. Made of cobble and oak wood. I obsessed over the idea of this server after shadows of Israphel. Ah, good ol' massive. Always there for my rp needs.

Algaron was one of my favourite cities. When I first joined Massive, and even when I began building, Algaron seemed like the best faction and city. It is still my favourite city.
