I got bored, so I wrote this.
My name is Tinky. Or Max. Either one of the two. I am also Sato San. I come from Sendai, Japan. My childhood was spent in Tokyo, and I'm currently residing in Hong Kong.
Oh, and I'm 16. Going on 17.
-IRL STUFFS-
As you'd expect from a normal Japanese person, I'm quite patriotic and am proud to be able to call myself a Jap. However, I can speak/write/read/understand English marginally better than about 90% of my kinsfolk. I'm able to pronounce both Japanese and English without a foreign slur (which is quite hard to do).
I absolutely love European History, specifically Russian, German, or English history. Its interesting, and isn't a repetitive cycle of dynasties like most Asian histories (until the 1800's). I'm also fascinated with European cultures in general. Especially Scandinavia.
As well as history, I'm also into literature. That means writing, reading, and poetry. My favorite authors are George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones), Neil Gaiman (Neverwhere and American Gods), and Ken Follett (Pillars of the Earth). I write often, but I hardly ever show it to other people unless I'm looking for critiques. Poetry is something I'm oddly good at. Symbolism is easy to come by for me.
Also, I love food. I'm not too big, but I can probably eat a stallion and come asking for more. Fast metabolism has its perks. Cooking is also one of my passions. I might go into culinary school if my academic-related plans don't go so well.
-MINECRAFTS STUFFS-
In game, I role-play as Percival Wolfcrown, a wandering architect that comes from a VERY far away place.
I build a huge ton, and am pretty damn good at it. Teaching people about building is something I enjoy, but not many people really want to listen to me ramble about depth and proportion. Because of my scatter-minded thought processing, I tend not to finish large projects. My computer has many archived projects that are halfway done or simply just conceptualized.
I like being recognized for my work, because I've put almost 3 years into learning how to build. http://forums.massivecraft.com/threads/portfolio-of-my-builds.5917/ is a portfolio of sorts for some of the stuff I've made. It gets updated when I have something new to show to people.
I'm so-so at PvP, but am a very good improv fighter. Which means I often use blocks and other not-weaponry to my advantage. Playing Minecraft for 3 years had done that to me. Also, I'm quite adept at military engineering (thanks to my studies of medieval warfare and engineering). This means fort formations, defender-savvy interior decoration, etc. Redstone isn't something I'm too strong in, but I can rig quite a few things.
I've got 3 years worth of stories that has happened in Minecraft. I don't get to tell them often, though. Last time I did, it took 4 hours (in-game with text). Surprisingly, the crowd grew as I got deeper into my story.
I found Massivecraft when I asked Jared4242 about this nice server he was playing on. I decided to join, and contacted OctoberGwen if I could join Osai. I became officer of that faction for a week, as I was building stuff for Hallow's End. About a month and a half later, I had a falling out with the faction leader and left angrily with my very trusty protégé Botson (tcarey). Tom1804 took me into Auxillian, and I've been building there since.
-GAMING STUFFS-
I've been gaming ever since I could talk. I grew up playing Pokemon and a few other Nintendo games. There's a SNES in the storage room, along with a PS1.
When I was 11, I saved up enough to buy a limited edition Halo 3 XBox 360, along with the game. I took it up quickly, and learned to "mature" because of the constant yelling I got from 18 year old players.
I got into WoW when I was 13. Because of hormones, I did lots of weird things. I ended up becoming a sort of infamous idiot on the server I played on. I played a Troll Rogue and raided in PvP gear. I was surprisingly decent, but it was dumb. The only PvE gear I had for a while was a pair of green gauntlets. I was nicknames "Greensleeves". Lost a few IRL friends because of that damn game. I went completely cold turkey about 6 months into Cataclysm.
I found Minecraft while I was randomly looking through stuff. I can't remember how I got to the site, exactly, but I bought it when it was dirt cheap.
I bought Skyrim on the release date, and have put in thousands of hours in that damn game. I still play it, and don't get bored. I moved to PC for Mod Content about half a year ago when I got Skyrim for PC and access to my little brother's desktop.
I've only started to game on the PC using Steam recently (2 years ago) due to my skepticism about credit cards. Since then, I've been avidly playing a variety of games.
-FUN FACTS STUFFS-
-I'm a redditor. I freaking love Reddit.
-I'm in the faction Auxillian, spearheading the construction of its capital and dealing with external affairs sometimes.
-I love Ramen, Korean BBQ, and good fast food.
-I've never had a birthday party where I've invited friends. Ever. Its in the middle of the summer.
-I fall asleep in showers. Sitting down in showers is a relaxing thing to do. But I end up on the shower floor, snoring and sniffing shampoo smells.
-I have slightly erratic personality. I go from pervy perky Jap derpy to rather serious.
-I try not to get depressed. Most of those sort of sad mood swings only last for about a day. Life shouldn't be spent looking into the past, but living in the present. There's a quote from Ferris Bueller…
-I've made a texture pack with a friend before. Its currently dead, but I may pick it up when I'm in the mood. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1369409-wipcollab-dark-umber-need-names/
-If I do stupid things, my mind tells me not to by reminding me of great grandfather Shigeru.
