Life Story
★ Upon coming of age, Ilsevaine is beset by indecision as she attempts to choose the path her life will take. After a bit of anxiety, she settles on the path of her father, the Esa-Ajo. Ilsevaine travels to the hold of Rivaer to study the school's tenants and principles. There, she picks up magical knowledge to know her enemy, and studies Sanguinology and Shatterology extensively.
★ Ilsevaine takes the Demand of Ganth after extremely rigorous examinations and years of practice, due to her keen hunger for knowledge and the need to train her mind just as well as she was training her body. She continues through the school, braving the dangers of Drowda and fighting tooth and nail to succeed- not just for herself, but her brethren, both with her and not. Passing the final test, Ilsevaine received her own Khoptar, later named Renmiire and customized to her exacting tastes.
★ Having seen enough of Drowda during her studies, Ilsevaine instead decides to travel, cleansing the twin curses of Sanguinism and Werebeastism both where she goes. A string of bad decisions, as well as a few particularly scorned Heartlanders in Dragenthal, eventually leads her to the City of Light, as she doubts its holiness in the face of its afflicted threats.
