    • Hreidmarr was born on the 12th August 245AC, to Lothmarr and Elgi Bluntboot. The child showed a great desire to learn, and exhibited proficiency in Engineering Pursuits.
    • At the age of 12, Hreidmarr became an apprentice to a blacksmith, where he studied for three years, and worked for a further two.
    • At the age of 18, Hreidmarr was offered tutorship in the construction of Siege Weapons, and he accepted.
    • Given the military nature of Grebor, it wasn’t long before Hreidmarr enlisted to repel the Dakkar forces. Given his knowledge on the intricacies of Cannons and Mortars, Hreidmarr went on to learn Artillery Command at the Greborian Military Academy.
    • Shortly after graduation, Hreidmarr was deployed within one of the mining chasms frequented by Dakkar raiders. During this time, he was noted for his remarkable usage and command of the available siege weapons, namely Bombard Mortars, which felled many Dakkar.
    • Over the next few decades, he gained a notable level of prestige, being promoted to an officer role, and participated in several battles and skirmishes against the Dakkar.
    • When commissioning some armour, he met Sudda Stonefinger, the two fell in love and eventually got married. Sudda gave birth to two daughters, Heidi and Frejhildr whom Hreidmarr loved very much.
    • In 306 AC, Hreidmarr and Frejhildr left aboard a merchant airship, bound for Ithania. Along the way, word came that Aldruinn had fallen, which troubled Hreidmarr greatly.
    • Rumours began to spread of Andinn Blackhammer, as he appeared with the Urdweld. Hreidmarr gained a deep amount of respect to Andinn for his contributions.
    • Hreidmarr rode with Andinn’s army to Aldruinn, where they reclaimed the fallen hold. After the battle, he found that his wife had been killed, and his brother had been taken captive, yet his youngest brother and his daughter had survived.
Hreidmarr was born on the 12th August 205AC, to Lothmarr and Elgi Bluntboot, an Aldruinnian Stonemason, and a Bookkeeper and refugee from the Fall of Brohl, respectively. He was the firstborn of a trio of brothers, being the oldest by several years. His upbringing was relatively average of a Dwarf, growing up within a closely-knit clan. Hearing his mother tell stories of Brohl invoked deep feelings of patriotism within the young Dwarf, instilling a longing for the return of his people, and an intense hatred for the Dakkar, as well as an interest in Dwarven History and Culture. Even as a young boy, Hreidmarr displayed proficiency in engineering pursuits, taking great interest watching the various metallurgists at work.

At the age of 12, Hreidmarr was sent to become an apprentice under a blacksmith, Chegor Bronzeknuckle, whilst he was not paid for the duration of the three year apprenticeship, he was given the experience and knowledge needed to progress in the field. During the three years, his pinnacle achievement was the creation of a steel Arbalest, which he took as his own, and regularly modified as he improved. For three more years, he worked alongside Chegor closely as his assistant, developing his skills in metallurgy further. Upon his 18th birthday, he was scouted for his metallurgy and was offered further tutorship working as a Steam Power Engineer, which he accepted, studying Steam Power for a further five years.

For the next few years, Hreidmarr worked as a Steam Engineer, and took particularly well to the craft. At the age of thirty-four, a Steam Engine he was working on exploded, and while he was fortunately not particularly close to the Engine as it exploded, he was still injured quite badly. Whilst he was recovering, his interest in Dwarven History and Culture was rekindled, as he had time to study over dozens of books on the topic in his downtime. He eventually recovered, and despite the severity of the accident, had not been left with any lasting damage, other than slight deafness in his left ear and some scarring. He dedicated his fortunate recovery to Duindin, and took up the mantle of Forge-Brother, alongside his regular work.

Over the next several decades, Hreidmarr mastered the craft of Metallurgy and Steam Engineering, honing his skills to the point of limited renown in his industry. During this time, he also met Sudda Stonefinger, an engraver, whilst working with her on some commissioned ceremonial armour. Over the course of their work together, the two became lovers, eventually marrying and having two daughters, Heidi and Frejhildr. Hreidmarr bonded very closely with his first daughter, with Heidi showing a similar level of proficiency in Metallurgy as he had as a child, and as such, he urged her towards a route in Blacksmithing. Whilst he didn’t have the same common ground with Frejhildr, he still loved her greatly, supporting her career as a merchant.

In 296 AC, the aging Hreidmarr had heard tell of a new development of ships, set not to sail the seas, but instead sail the skies. Given his experience working with Steam Power, and his great interest in the project, Hreidmarr became involved in the development of some of these airships, beginning work in the manufacture process, though eventually, he became an Onboard Airship Engineer, generally working aboard mercantile vessels, which he worked upon for several years.

Around a decade later, a merchant airship that both Hreidmarr and Frejhildr were working on left Aldruinn, following a trade route passing through Jorrhildr towards Ithania. During the latter stops of the route, rumours spread of Aldruinn’s defeat. At first, no dwarf on the vessel believed it, though it became apparent that it was true after hearing the same rumours several times. Whilst the Dwarves aboard the vessel wished they could return, they knew that their return would inevitably end in their own demise. They changed course from home, to the Hold of Grebor. Hreidmarr himself fell into a deep depression, wishing that he could have been there, cursing himself for ever leaving, and much the same thoughts were seen throughout the rest of the crew. Despite his depression, Hreidmarr knew of his obligation to the crew, and helped as best as he could to keep up morale.

Landing in Grebor, they were welcomed by the other hold, though emotions were bittersweet. Being amongst fellow Dwarves was comforting, yet the dread lingered. Through gritted teeth, Hreidmarr and his daughter returned to work some weeks later, though it was a struggle. A year later, Hreidmarr has begun to recover emotionally, though he still felt lost without the rest of his family. Then, as if by miracle, Andinn Blackhammer returned to Grebor with an army of Urdweld, and for the first time since the fall, Hreidmarr felt joy, a newly regained hope. Hreidmarr was amongst the many Dwarves that rode to Aldruinn, Arablest in hand, to reclaim his home. Whilst he only played a minor role in the battle itself, he was proud to have fought for his kin. The celebrations that followed were major, he was reunited with his daughter and his youngest brother, though the celebrations were again, bittersweet, as it was revealed that his wife had died during the Fall, and his brother had been led off by the Isldar.

Following the word of Andinn, Hreidmarr recently travelled to Regalia, filled with hope for his race, and a desire for a better future.
