    Hello all,

I am quite new to MassiveCraft, and I came to the conclusion that making a character would be wise. Although, I hit a roadblock in the proficiency skills area of the template, can anyone give me some guidance?

    Thanks

Essentially, you start with 5 points at birth, and then get 1 extra point every year until you hit 55 years old, at which point you have the maximum of 60 points.
Those 60 points are spent on a large variety of different proficiencies, or skills. Things like sword skill, shield skill, dancing, or alchemy skill. By default, each skill is maxed out at 20 points put into it. So if you have 20 swords, you are a master swordsman. Certain races or cultures get a higher limit to how skilled they can be in certain areas. You may be have a cap of 25 in swords instead of 20, in which case, if you put 25 points into swords, you would be an above-master swordsman.

What is it that you're having difficulty figuring out, exactly?

Hi there! Generally proficiency points are used to decide how skilled your character is at a trade or skill they engage in. Example is I play a knight so my proficiency points are mainly put into Blade Combat and Cavalry combat, but some characters are not combat oriented so they may put points in other things such as maritime knowledge(sailing) it Culinery Arts(cooking!). If you still have any questions I would recommend the rp community discord as the help central there has a much quicker response time !

There's not really any specific format for ordering your skills. Something you could do is just listing them in a row, like this.

    • Unarmed Combat: 6
    • Puretek combat: 10 (From Collusion)
    • Command Tactical Skill: 20
    • Society Knowledge: 4
      • Ailor Society pack
    • Perception Training: 15
    • Diplomatic Case Skill: 10
    • Theater Arts: 15 (10 Hobby+5 points)
Or, you could categorize them by type, like this.

    Combat
    • Unarmed Combat: 6
    • Puretek combat: 10 (From Collusion)
    Knowledge
    • Command Tactical Skill: 20
    • Society Knowledge: 4
      • Ailor Society pack
    • Diplomatic Case Skill: 10
    Physical Training
    • Perception Training: 15
    Arts
    • Theater Arts: 15 (10 Hobby+5 points)

    • Thank You! Thank You! x 1
