    House Pileran of Pays-Sud

New and improved coat-of-arms hopefully coming soon.

    Family History

HOUSE PILERAN has its origins within the courts of Hivre Haute Puisse as jewelcrafters from the Solacian Isles, though migrated to the Regalian Archipelago with the Ithanian Colonists in 155 AC. They purchased a sizable portion of land from the lord of Girobalda which rested in Pays-Sud and began to colonize the area, extracting minerals from the land and profiting off of fine jewelry creation. With over fifty years of mining and taxation the family started to become fashionably wealthy, especially after funding shipyards in their neighbouring regions.

During the Chrysant War the Pilerans settled to supply the Imperial Navy with ships to aid the war effort and a few relatives were enlisted to see that their ships were put to good use. This granted them a boon in the court of the late emperor Justinian II after the war. All their efforts finally came to fruition when they were granted a seat in the Regalian Senate and the Duchy of Pays-Sud through marriage with the late Sylvia Devereux, alongside the family's possession over "Le Grand Bijoux Vert", an artifact which granted pseudo-power over the region. The family held their titles with passion for years, until the First Elven War broke out.

During the conflict House Anahera invaded Pays-Sud over a border dispute, stole the Bijoux and declared their ownership over the Pileran lands. Political interests saw to it that their titles remained to be lost, although the family remained relatively affluent from hoarding their wealth during the Regalian Pessimism. Sometime during the Anahera Dictatorship which followed a few years later, remnants of the house attempted a rebellion in Pays-Sud to restore Pileran control but it promptly died out after being met with relative instability.

In recent times the family has watched their lands being passed around from one ruler to the other. However, in a land wrought by political unrest, many of its inhabitants reminisce fondly of a period under Pileran rulership. The family continued to remain in their own private holdings until now, with several family members seemingly returning to the capital with the intent of spearheading the political scene once more.

House Pileran has been written into the Tolonne culture instead of the contested melting pot of Daendroque and Ithanian. Makes a lot more sense and gives us a rather enjoyable flair of originality. Recruitment is still open and we're actively looking for new tolo's, feel free to apply!
