The two families that had joined was the Annagán family and another family’s name who was lost throughout the history of the family. Aengus O’Hanigan had been given the patriarchy of the family at the age of thirty-two by his grandfather on the Annagan side of the family. Now with the two families conjoined they continued on their merry life for a time until around the year 45AC after some trade ships had somehow managed to dock and explore the rainwashed lands of Eriu-Innis. At around this time the patriarchy had fallen and changed into a matriarch whose name was Aileen O’Hanigan, she had managed to successfully convince her albeit rather large family to trade with ship. New Settlement After trading with the traders and merchants that appeared every couple of months, Aileen decided to convince the trade ship to bring her three sons, two daughters, and her niece and nephew elsewhere. She, having seen the wear and tear beginning to break away at these young adults caused her to make the sudden shift. Thus in turn she gave the leadership of the group of seven to her eldest son, Callahan O’Hanigan. Once they had packed away their belongings the seven O’Hanigans left out into the new and frightful world around them in the year 54AC. After sailing for a time with the merchants they found themselves within New Ceardia at the time before managing to somehow find other Claiths. With the ability to keep the Claith in them as they worked in a small town, they continued to live and spread the family name. Military Trade The O’Hanigan family spent a peaceful amount of time staying within New Ceardia until about 101AC, sending letters or sometimes even making the perilous journey to Eriu-Innis for a year before heading back to their home within the Ceardia area. However a trader arrives that absolutely enlightens the current matriarch of the New Ceardian O’Hanigan side of the family. The current family members had been making glass for the past twenty-five years or so was soon introduced to a man from the Regalian Archipelago who explained to them about the military hardware that he made. Thus the family was introduced to and taught how to make the military hardware after some of the men within the family decided to go with the merchant back to Regalia. However as that occurred they find more interest in the actual schematic designs of the military supplies than the actual creation of the weapons. As the family began to slowly become more integrated within the societies around it, the newest patriarch of the family, Eamon O’Hanigan, had decided to settle in the Regalian Archipelago. More specifically Opper Calem, a region close to Regalia and wasn’t as far away as New Ceardia. The family then began to move around 205AC, to join the patriarch in widening the family’s business. Regalia The family stayed within Opper Calem with the occasional influx of family members from the Eriu-Innis islands. The family is now a mix with both New Ceardian family members as well as the pure Claith side of the family. The family business having been made fairly known at this point, mainly their glass making abilities and having helped create local cathedrals windows. At this time in the schematics side of the family they have gotten rather well at making and supplying them to local blacksmiths as well as getting in contact with some low nobles as well to make schematics and weapons for their families. Now skipping a few generations of participating within and aiding the Regalians in whatever fighting they were involved in at the time, now in recent years of 275AC to 305AC they have begun to be more involved within the Regalian military. The more recent generations beginning to make their way to Regalia itself to open up a schematics and glass making shop. Family Traits Physical Traits: Females: Most females within the family stay in the lower height range being between 5’3 and 6’2, the intermixing of Ceardians causing the decline in height from usual Claiths. Not as built as the males within the family but sometimes taking part in military schools, most of the women in the family usually handles the business side of the family. Now facial feature wise most women have a more heart shaped or diamond shaped facial features. Usually found with the normal ginger hair and green eyes that all claiths have however every couple of generations there is the rare blonde hair and blue eyes. This is more often not the women of family to attract that trait but the occasional male does get either blue eyes or blond hair but not at the same time. Along with the ginger hair one noticeable feature that sets them apart from the rest is the fact that it’s a very faded ginger hair color, being close to the more strawberry blonde hair color. Males: The males within the family are at the higher end of the height range getting between 5’8 and 6’4 respectively. Most of the men are well built and on the more muscular side having spent most of their time training within combat schools or fighting within wars. They have more square like faces or oval shaped. Like the women in the family there is some chance of perhaps getting blonde hair or perhaps blue eyes but having both blonde hair and blue eyes are not possible for the men. However having the faded ginger hair with blue eyes or perhaps having blonde hair with the faded emerald green eyes. Mental Traits: Now within the family some noticeable traits when people first meet a member is the fact is that their very passionate about what they do. Willing to explain about it as well, going as far as to be rather stubborn in that aspect. They do not give up easily and are sometimes called foolish for doing so. However some of the family can be rather self serving in it all, wanting to rise to power within the family. Most if not all have a rather large respectful attitude towards others, being rather calm and collective towards them. There are the choice few in the family that are quiet but it’s very rare for that to occur. Most are quite boisterous, loud, and militaristic in mindset. He’s a stern, stubborn, and honest man. He’s not one for pleasantries and tends to prefer his grandchildren over his own son but still loves them nonetheless. Eistir O’Hanigan - Grandmother - Married to Abhainn - Age 70 - Played by @HeyoFreyo She’s the more soft side to Abhainn, the more understanding and kind grandmother. She’s always willing to assist the younger members in the family but can be quite the hardass when it comes to keeping the family pure Claith. Some views she has causes her to clash with Abhainn. She deals with the family’s shenanigans while Abhainn is away doing the political stuff. She’s a kind yet jokester within the family, much like the very open grandmother in a family. Despite her age though she isn’t afraid to whip some of the younger generations butts if they’re making an idiot of themselves. Cathaoir O’Hanigan - Son of Abhainn & Eistir - Married to Keilah - Age 51 - NPC A very vague man within the family, constantly out on business and traveling. Keilah O’Hanigan nee Hayes - Married to Cathaoir - Age 48 - NPC A traveling mother who tries to visit her children when she can. But she mainly focuses on the family business and sailing with her husband. She’s the blind sister yet has many ambitions within her. Along with her ambitious behavior she is rather confident and willing to learn anything if given the opportunity. She was the light to Malloy’s life but now that she's passed her legacy lives on in her children. He is an odd mixture of headstrong, outgoing and introverted - he enjoys talking to people, and he can seem quite confident and sure of himself, but at the same time he doesn't really like crowds and parties and people with any kind of authority tend to make him nervous. He can be a bit slow when it comes to people, meaning he often offends people by accident and fails to notice when they are sad, lonely, irritated, etc., but he loves to help people out and make them feel happy. Sometimes, however, this can be a negative - due to his unrivalled optimism and slight naivety, he will rarely spot manipulators or ill-wishers, and has to rely on the judgement of his family members in this regard. He is extremely protective of his siblings and the rest of the family, and often acts like the older brother even to Sibeal (who is actually older than him). When it comes to precision work and planning, he excels - he takes his work in the family very seriously indeed, and the walls of his room are no longer visible in many places for the great number of finished and unfinished schematics he has pinned up. He has a fascination in the mechanisms and machinery that make artillery work, though he is more of a fan of the old-school catapults and trebuchets than the newer cannons developed by Regalia. Still - work is work, and though he may find more modern warfare less interesting, he doesn't complain. He loves to help out planning parties and doing admistrative work around the family as well, but he doesn't like to actually attend the parties in person. Somewhat contrary to this precision work, Tibbot took up the school of Feer-Drakken at age 16. He mostly took up training in the school because he wanted a means to protect his siblings from danger, and has now been studying for about 5 years (though only managing to reach fighter level due to his lack of focus).
