They claim direct, uninterrupted lineage from the Black Desert Dragon Uttrakhar, and pride themselves on maintaining their genealogical purity. Historically, Ahuras have served Masaya as soldiers and farmers, having no grandiose or noteworthy achievements to their name. In recent years, the Ahuras have spread out across Masaya and across the ocean to the Regalian Archipelago after an ancestor of the now-Regalian line grew disenchanted with Masayan politics. A work-in-progress. ═══━━━─── | ───━━━═══ ― ☀ ― ═══━━━─── | ───━━━═══ Traits Male Ahura tend towards the middle of the racial height range (~6’ 5”), with broad shoulders, naturally bulky musculature, sharp, almost jagged, facial features, and thick, wavy snow white hair. Female Ahura tend towards the above-middle of the racial height range (~6’ 7”), with sturdy, boxy frames and similarly sharp, although not jagged, facial features, and flowing, curly snow white hair. Both genders carry the tell-tale amber-orange eyes of a Songaskian. Mental traits are not dictated; we value individual character agency. Morals House Ahura follows the moral teachings of Shambala accompanied by a set of moral guidelines based upon virtue theory, the pursuit of happiness and wealth, and loyalty to the family. Aberrancy of the vampiric, magic, and bestial natures are tolerated insofar as they are kept behind closed doors. Should an Ahura be outed as an illegal aberrant, they shall be disowned and disinherited until the aberrancy is purged. Other types of biodiversification are actively encouraged and accepted. Vocations The members of House Ahura have historically been plantation farmers and foot-soldiers, archers, and engineers in the Masaya legions. In the modern day, the Ahuras still living in Masaya have moved away from military service and into the mercantile and artistic fields, involved in the dye, lumber, and stone trades. The Ahuras living in the Archipelago are an even mix of soldiers, farmers, and professionals. Culture House Ahura in the Archipelago aligns itself with their Songaskian roots influenced by the local Burdigalic culture. This plays into their byzantine fashions, relative gender equality, tight-knit family structure, and idyllic agriculturalism. Intrafamily management is split between a Patriarch and Matriarch, titular positions assigned to the eldest active male and female. Shambala is the family’s faith, however they privately tolerate most other faiths insofar as Shambala is followed simultaneously—however, Unionism is the only other faith the family openly tolerates in and of itself. Inheritance Absolute-Cognatic Tanistry. A single inheritor is elected from amongst the property-holder's eligible children, regardless of gender. All of-age family members actively living in the household are electors, and have equal voting weight.
