Holist was forcefully bound to a barely sentient animal by an Allorn scientist.
Holist was shown the various lives of Alorians, being taught what it means to be an 'Alorian' before being bound to a Homunculus in an attempt to create the very first artificial Alorian. Only, they had learned what filth Humans truly are.
