    Her Departure was Bittersweet

The sun was a wretched beauty--....

The rumors filled the streets more swiftly than a drunkard's tankard with the sweet poison of ale. Soft tale ushered was that of a ginger-haired bastard of the Sol, leaving forevermore from the citadel of Regalia. Throughout the evening glimpses of her would be seen donned in elaborate attire and gems, parading alongside another Altalar dressed in similar finery. Through the bustles of layered skirts and glistening gems one thing remained consistent during the frenzy of sporadic purchases: her smile. It was soon that fragmented pieces of these whispers pieced together to reveal the truth of her sudden visit, that she readied herself for a final departure, for she was to be wed.

It was seen throughout the evening that the elfess continued to wander to a variety of different households and estates on her lonesome, seemingly spewing her farewells. And as the daylight surrendered before the peers of Regalia to open up the night sky she had vanished to the piers. And from the bright rays of the overhanging lamps, she was discovered docking onto a ship, departing from the citadel for the final time. It was a breath of fresh air, a sense of loss and a sense of relief. For as this chapter ended, a new one would surely begin.

-... And so, she was gone.

OOC: It has been a pleasure to roleplay this character here, and as the summer continues, I am finally at ease to shelf Lhoris from massive craft. It has been an honor to roleplay as everyone and flesh out her story, even if we are no longer on good terms. Thank you to everyone who contributed, I am forever thankful.

And as the Celate heard of the departure, he relaxed his mind drawn back to the depths of the Elfess’ pain. All the memories had shown, all the pain he had taken to try to give her peace yet he’d failed in that. But the Asha still smiled, ensuring a courier brought a final carved toy for the young baby Lhoris saw to, with a card inscribed in common “For my old friend, brief flame, and eternal parishioner.”

Yet as he sent it off he relaxed, pushing the chair back to smile over at the slumbering wirtem nearby.

“Seems we both found our soul mates Lhoris…in the end,” The Asha rose resolving to make breakfast today and greet his child down in their basement quarters. The adopted father feeling a small bitter sweetness at the departure of so strange and impactful a friend.
