Hey! My name, as stated in the title, is Adam. I am 21 years old and live in Illinois, and before you ask, no, I don't live by Chicago, there's honestly MUCH more to the state than just that one tiny area gosh! Anyways, I'm not particularly NEW to the server, I have been here for a little over 5 months, but I haven't really filled this out yet so wynaut? Anyways, a little bit about myself, I work at Walmart Lawn and Garden Center at the moment, and before you laugh and say "awww he waters flowers for a living" yes, I did that, but there's sooo much more to do and it's all honestly fun. Anyways, I feel myself getting slightly off topic so if you want to know more about that for whatever reason, I'd be happy to answer questions via message or whatever. So, where was I? Oh! Right, working at Walmart and temporarily out of school until I can learn to be greedy with my money and save up enough to return. Or rather, until I can apply early enough next semester so I don't have to pay it all at once, but once again, veering off topic! In case you were wondering, I'm typing as if I was actually talking to you all, I have quite an odd way of speaking, or so I've been told. Now for the importantly unimportant stuff! I have been playing video games for a large part of my life, and have always seen them as an art. When I first heard about Minecraft, I was sitting in the cafeteria in college and actually started watching someone play. Now, I had played many games, some great, some bad, yet I hadn't seen anything like Minecraft. It looked so odd from what I was used to in playing games, instead of having high quality graphics and a set world, Minecraft was blocky and completely random with every seed you entered. The more I watched my friends play, the more I got interested. I bought minecraft before the end of the semester and started playing it. I didn't know how to make/run a server at the time, and I couldn't connect to my friend's server, so I played alone. I would play creative mode mostly when I first started out and ended up getting kind of bored with it. Skip ahead a year or two and Minecraft is officially released! I had recently taken up playing again with my friends on the Xbox 360 version and after buying a new laptop, and watching quite a few Paulsoaresjr videos, I decided to redownload minecraft for the PC. Now, I had always been an avid fan of RP and since my love of minecraft was returning, I decided to look for a server that I could possibly do both in. Unfortunately, Massivecraft was not my first server however I forget the name of the first server and I'm fairly certain it's shut down. Anyways, when I did join Massivecraft, I was stuck in the middle of an ongoing war between the vampires and the first Crimson Inquisition. I attempted to talk to some people, yet I was greeted with either silence or a "not now, you're interrupting our RP." I logged off with a sour taste in my mouth that night. However, the next day came around and I decided to give Massivecraft another chance. In order to solve my starvation issues, I agreed to become a vampire and soon after I was caught by a member of the Inquisition. I asked to be cured instead of killed and asked if by chance I could have any food. The member brought me what was needed to be cured and also gave me food so I didn't go hungry. I wish I would have remembered the person's name now in hindsight. Anyways, with a renewed view towards the server and it's people, I decided to roam further from spawn. After that decision, a lot changed for me both in game and IRL. In game, I have become one of the leaders of Lanilor and I've also made friends with many different people. What has changed for me because of massivecraft IRL? Well, the same as in game. I have leadership experience as well as time management skills which has come in handy many times at work. As far as friends are concerned, I keep in touch with a good number of friends from the server IRL, be it a text asking how they are doing, to actually playing with them on Xbox or even Skyping with them when I'm unable to play minecraft. I'm hardly the person I was when I started playing Massivecraft, and I can say without a doubt, that I'm much happier with the person I am now. So, this is the introduction of not the old me that didn't know anyone and would probably never have the courage to type this out, but the new, happier, and also more confident me. So, I guess all that's left to do is say hello. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them here and if I CAN answer them, or want to, then I will do it without hesitation.
P.S. if this is a bit disorganized at the end, it's because I'm finishing typing this at 6 am and I've yet to sleep... soooo this is not only a hello, but also, a good night for the moment! XD
