"In times of peace, one should prepare from war. In times of war, one should look forward to peace. The strong must prepare for each reality, for both are inevitable." The Cycle of Dominion is upon us, and as the season for military campaigns begins once more, so to does the peak of tournament season. Regalia is not immune to such fanfares of chivalrous display, and so Knights far and wide now must test all aspects of their character to become more than just a sword for the Emperor. Throughout the next few weeks, several hastiludes will be hosted in the Holy City, where Knights will be able to complete together or alone to seize the glories associated with marital combat, and knightly displays of honor. Hastilude 1: Pas d'armes The passage of arms involves a group or single Knight staking out a traveled spot, challenging any other Knights who wish to pass to a fight, or be disgraced. If a Knight refuses, he is to leave his spurs behind as a sign of humiliation. If a lady passes unescorted, she is to leave behind a glove or scarf, to be rescued and returned to her by a future Knight who passes on that way. Rules and Guidelines: At regular intervals throughout the next few weeks at 6pm EDT, /tp knightevent will be set up at certain arenas throughout the capital. The first Knight that enters the arena will take control of the field, and must hold the arena against any challengers that approach. Any Knight may challenge the controlling Knight to a duel, after which the victor will become the new controller of the field. Score will be kept on which Knight is able to hold the most fields throughout the hastiludes, with a future reception in their honor being held at a later date.
