Being the youngest of six children, Greer observed her older siblings quite closely throughout her early childhood, picking up little habits here and there from each one. She could often be found pestering one of her siblings, yearning to get her hands on whatever she could. When Greer was five years old, she stumbled upon a hawk that had become entangled in a brush of briars. Feeling sympathetic for the poor bird as it squawked out pitifully, she untangled the bird and took it home to tend to it’s wounds. This bird would become her first animal companion, and she would name it Alba, after her birthplace. This encounter would spark her love for animals, and she would later convince her parents to buy her a foal, which she named Forbia, after her middle name. As she grew older, Greer seldom made friends, as she had a painfully blunt attitude that was often mistaken for cruelty. Because of this, she spent most of her time with her siblings or by herself. From a young age, Greer showed an interest in weaponry and battle. In her freetime, she’d often play out imaginary scenarios of war, fashioning sticks into swords and courageously knocking down the treacherous bales of hay. Although the young girl had a predominantly aggressive nature, she also enjoyed the simple arts of writing. She’d often stay up late past her bedtime to write stories, filling up many notebooks as the years passed, though this was a hobby she did not share with many people. Adolescents: Once Greer turned eleven, she decided to ask her father for lessons in combat, as she wished to follow in the footsteps of her brother. Her father agreed and began to teach her how to wield a dagger. While this satisfied her thirst for combat for a few years, Greer found herself longing to learn more. After bringing this up to her father, he agreed to let her study at the School of Tenpenny. Thrilled, Greer went off to expand her skills in combat. She continued building her skill with a dagger, though she focused much more on sword combat. However, she was disappointed to find that it was much less one on one combat that she had hoped for. In attempts to make up for this, Greer often challenged her classmates to duels, sneaking out in the middle of the night to fight them with her weapon of choice- a dagger. While at the school, she gained quite the reputation for being rambunctious and carefree. Although she had a tougher reputation, she continued her practices of writing in secret. Towards the end of her studies, Greer came across a stray dog in the street. Feeling sympathetic towards the dog, she coaxed it to her small home with a slice of meat. She’d later find out it was a male Anglian Shepherd and, finding herself humorful, she named him Greer. Although she had been encouraged to join the army as her graduation grew closer, Greer found group combat to be rather boring, and said this to her professor's face. While this was frowned down upon, Greer seemed to lack the capability of caring any less, and so her educators left her alone on that matter. However, Greer did believe that in the future, if needed, she would join the army. After her studies were complete, she received a letter from her father requesting she come to the City of Regalia to be with the family. Excited to see her family after two years, Greer boarded the next boat to Regalia, accompanied by her luggage and Greer (the dog). Present Day: Upon arrival in Regalia, Greer was happily reunited with her family as well as her horse, Forbia. Although she was glad to be back with her parents and siblings, she quickly grew tired of roaming the city and tasting the various whiskies (which she swore up and down were absolute garbage compared to her family’s brand). Greer soon began challenging everyone she came across to duels, and was eager for any type of action. She soon found herself spending time in arenas and rings more than anywhere else, though she often could be found enjoying a Mac Conall whiskey in the Golden Willow, accompanied by Greer the dog.
