The snow fell lightly as the hooves thudded against the frozen grounds, dragging along the black carriage. The left wheel divots into a hole deep enough to jostle the carriage. With the sudden movement, Ida's eyes snaps open and sharply inhales. Looking about and rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she yawns and peers out the window. Rooftops formed in the horizon with stone structures and smoke coming from the chimneys. The last piece of what was her husband was his journal which was placed in a box with various rings. The box was carved with care and beauty with the family crest, his name and the day of his last breath. Sealed with metal, Ida held it close as the carriage trudged on.

"Momma, are we there yet?" A small child's voice came from the side of her. Sleepy, the curly blonde boy yawned and stretched. He was well dressed with furs over his lap and peered over to Ida who smiles warmly to him.

"Come here and I will show you." Ida spoke gently and helped him onto her lap where she then brush the curtain away to reveal the snow falling gently on the farm lands that they were traversing through to get to the settlement. "See the smoke from the chimney?"

"Ah! That is the cattle! Momma...is that where food comes from?"

"Haha, yes...oh and they fish too! You should see the Elladorian."

"The ones that you showed me in the book?" He perked up and then made horns using his finger on either side. "Baaaah!"

Ida laughs and kisses his brow. "Yes, they are here too." The boy replied with a proud smile and nods.

"I like going home. You get to see so many peoples! And-and you also get to see cool animals! Plus Runa and Theo are sleeping all the time." He gestured to the two small babies nestled in a rather nice baby basket. With fur and blankets around them. Their hair rather curly and red like their father's.

Chuckling, Ida shakes her head and places him onto his own seat. "Tarquin, when they are your age they would be as lively as you are." She hummed out a short sigh and looks to the sleeping redhead man who slightly snored. "Then you get as quiet and tired with age once more. Odd how that works."

The boy giggled and the carriage continued on into the settlement. "Remember why we came here." Ida said after a while and looks to Maximus Krupp who was awake. He nodded firmly.

Opening his mouth, he was interrupted with Tarquinius' reply. "To help the people and to put papa to rest." He said matter-of-fact. Max Chuckled and nods once more. "Yes, and I will talk to the people."

Leaning back, she nods to Max and patted Tarquin's shoulder gently. The carriage rolled to a stop and rocked a bit before the doors opened, inviting the cold crisp air.
