(OOC: This is for an introduction for a fallen Lothar manipulated by the Argentum. This was mostly written for how I'd play the character but I wanted to post this since I enjoyed writing the concept.)

I. The Peril of Hostility:

In the evolving resistance against the occult, purist forces' unwarranted hostility risks undermining their cause. The manifesto underscores the need for a nuanced approach to garner public support. It highlights the historical context of Dwarves and Maraya, illustrating the consequences of extreme anti-occult measures. The violence-prone purists, like the Lothar, are portrayed as calculated individuals driven by past trauma, emphasizing the need for a different approach.

The solution proposed is the creation of a powerful catalyst that awakens society to the true threat of the occult, transcending ignorance and radicalism.

II. "The Furtherist":
A radical departure from conventional strategies, this section introduces the concept of the Furtherist. This martyr willingly embraces perceived villainy to strategically channel occult manifestations, showcasing the dangers of magic. The orchestrated chaos serves to divert attention, awaken the masses, and gain centrists as allies. Sacrificing for its reputation becomes a rallying point for other purists, paving the way for a future untainted by enchanting forces in its defeat, due to the reactionary force that rises to fight.

III. "The True Threat":
In a calculated departure, the manifesto introduces the concept of the "True Threat," where a purist champion strategically deploys dark arts to amplify the occult's influence. This champion's role is to unveil the occult's accepted society, revealing its true nature to centrists and emphasizing the dangers of embracing the occult. The champion, uses the 'Silver Path" and assists the Argentum in anyway possible, since the Manifesto highlights them as one of the most well-known public dangers to the Regalian Empire.

IV. The Guide to Furtherism:
This section outlines the roles of pragmatic and martyr Furtherists in catalyzing change. The Pragmatic Furtherist strategically allows occult atrocities, while advocating for the use of omissions of truth and exaggerations, to contribute to public awakening and aiding in defense and rebuilding.. The Martyr Furtherist immerses themselves in corruption, becoming a living testament to the occult's dangers, aiding radical occultists, utilizing violent means, and exploiting occult rituals to reveal the true nature of the occult to the public.

Copies of a pressed together print, are seen spread out every once in a while. The ink was always slightly faded. As if the book was written some time ago. But it's cover is alien to almost all.

But one rests on the Animosity Bridge, placed in the middle, a tattered emblem of the Darkwald and Gruwald placed over it.

The evolution of purist forces, in their fervor to resist the encroaching occult, has taken a dark turn towards unwarranted hostility. This excessive aggression has inadvertently allowed sympathy to leech away from the purist cause, granting the occult the strategic advantage of public compassion. In order for the purist cause to gain any further traction, this must be stopped.

Before this manifesto explains the solution, let me explain the historical context in which this idea refers.

Firstly, the Dwarves, with their historically dubious attitude towards the occult, present a complex case study. Magic, once absent from their society, became a source of collective trauma as their empire also collapsed in war and invasion. The subsequent collapse led to a hostile stance towards magic, resulting in the persecution of magically inclined Dwarves. The Magic Chaining policy emerged, chaining the potential of magical users to the interests of Dwarven society. Regalia briefly adopted a similar approach, only to discard it, in my own theory, due to a lack of such a decline in current times. However the Holds persist in their belief that unfettered magic poses a danger, a sentiment echoed in their policies. But they are not the only ones with such a history. The Maraya stand as a testament to the catastrophic consequences intertwined with magic. The collapse of their civilization, which I theorize to be deeply linked to magic, left them dispersed and shattered. Survivors cling to the remnants of their culture, adopting occult-wary ideals in the wake of magical calamity. Finally, clad in leather armor and wielding weapons against the occult, the Lothar, the Hunter, and the Purist embraced violence in their mission to purge the world of occult rot. Known for violence, many of them are often labeled as lunatics. However, this label belies the calculated nature of their actions, a pretense aimed at defeating the hidden threat to the world. Many of them have faced the violence of the afflicted and their rot, and to them, the only solution is returning every death with a death of the occult. Their pasts guided them to purism as much as Glanzia, Caius, or whatever deity they follow.

Even if they do not admit it.

But continuing, we see a pattern. The progressives, the occult, and the mutated may whisper a suggestion that the extra-planar be allowed to exist. That perhaps they are allowed to propagate their influence. And they do have a point. Too many purists use only violence as a solution. However, all must realize the true dangers of what these so-called whisperers bring. But as seen, the sympathy of a populace only is what is seen, never the unseen reality. However, in this, it allows for the orchestrated unveiling of the occult's accepted society to become a crucial element. By revealing the truth of what the occult truly wishes to bring about, the centrist observers are granted a stark vision of the world, some of them may inadvertently support. This revelation serves as a pivotal moment for centrists, allowing them to see beyond the facade and truly understand the consequences of embracing the occult.

So comes a solution. A society will only awaken once it truly realizes the threat. And once the threat is big enough, society will act to fix it.
In a radical departure from conventional strategies, this manifesto declares the ideal of the sacrificial role of a martyr. A catalyst for change against the allure of magic. By descending into orchestrated chaos, the aim is to strategically channel occult manifestations, embodying a shadowy figure whose actions fuel the flames of the occult. This intentional descent into perceived villainy seeks not only to divert attention from the purist cause but to etch in the collective consciousness a vivid contrast between the corrupting allure of magic and the steadfast resistance against its seduction.

The orchestration of controlled chaos becomes the instrument, strategically unleashing occult manifestations that captivate the imagination of the populace. The forces of magic are channeled in ways that appear malevolent, yet all the while, this orchestrated chaos serves the ultimate goal of awakening the masses to the inherent dangers beneath the surface of enchantment.

This descent into the abyss of perceived villainy becomes a rallying point, inspiring others to rise against the occult forces that threaten the fabric of society. In understanding the meaning of "true villainy," it becomes evident that occult anarchy and the corruption of creation represent the ultimate end. Often obscured by the enchanting allure, many fail to recognize the malevolence inherent in the occult's larger agenda. True villainy lies in the unseen, the insidious decay of the very fabric of existence. Through this manifesto and the orchestrated chaos, the veil is lifted, revealing the bigger picture—the sinister narrative that the occult seeks to weave. In this awakening, centrists become allies in the purist cause, joining the ranks of those who resist the allure and corruption of magic, and ushering in an era where truth and enlightenment prevail over the shadows of the occult. The legacy of the Furtherist serves to transcend the ashes of sacrifice, ushering in a new era of enlightenment and resistance.

In summary, the Furtherist sacrifices one's self for the reputation of the cause.
In a calculated departure from convention, the martyr embraces a role of calculated perversion against the enchanting forces of the occult. The purist cause finds its champion in a figure willing to sacrifice themselves to corruption, strategically deploying dark arts to amplify the occult's influence, catalyzing their radical actions to their utmost extremes. This champion does a careful or extreme cultivation of the "True Threat", the existence of a power that wishes to spread such a corrupt ideology within a society. The "True Threat" which can take a variety of different forms, whether it'd be the corrupting entities on Drowda, the Dakkar of the Dwarven Holds, the void for the followers of Caius, or the Ordial for the Fornoss, allows for purism to propagate through a society, the more radical the reactionary force, the more dangerous or influential the threat is. A Furtherist must embrace the "True Threat" so that this reactionary force can be formed, but must be careful to choose his actions, as the Threat must not be strong enough to cause complete upheaval. Only enough fear and chaos so that the gift of the martyr is granted upon the other purists.

An example of a "True Threat" would be the Argentum Order.

This "Order" poses an unprecedented threat to the stability and integrity of the Regalian Empire, constituting a danger that surpasses all other Knight Orders. The twisted Kathar Code of the Argentum Knights sets them apart, making them a force that undermines the very foundations of the Empire. Their allegiance to the Pact of the Void Gods introduces a malevolent element that endangers the societal fabric. They are violent, they are radical, and they are individuals who promote all kinds of anarchy, and selfishness. Their spread of Evolist ideals, not through debate, but through violence and undermining the core society of the Empire itself allows themselves to become a perfect outlet, to allow centrists to view the truth, and by assisting the Argentum in their missions and violence, allow for the public to finally see their abhorrent nature, abandoning the progressivist ideals many take. Allowing for the true nature to be showcased of all societies which embrace the so called freedom which many advocate now.
There must always be only one Martyr amongst many Pragmatic. Too many sacrificed will only hurt the purist cause, and help the occult one.
  • The Pragmatic Furtherist:
    • Some Furtherists may be more pragmatic. This is fine, however a pragmatic should not support the occult while still doing his work for the purist cause, instead, the pragmatic should be strategic. The pragmatic Furtherist should allow for the occult to commit atrocities, so that the public may witness them. While the pragmatic would never be a martyr. The pragmatic holds the ability to help in the defense once the occult achieves enough influence, and the rebuilding of the true society afterwards, in the time when purism holds the sympathy of society once again. The Pragmatic must be intelligent, not corrupting, but can still be a powerful catalyst working within the purist movement. Lies should be avoided, as they are too risky if found out by the public, only disheartening their sympathy for the cause. The occult needs no lies to be violent, however over exaggerations and omissions of the entire truth can be used to further the image of expanding occult influence. Only through true realization can a society be rapidly pushed towards a standard in which purism can thrive.
  • The Martyr Furtherist:
    • The martyr instead, unlike the calculated hand of the pragmatic, shall immerse themselves in the very corruption they resist, becoming a conduit for the malevolence that courses through the occult. Through ritualistic practices and unholy alliances, the martyr amplifies the effects of dark magic, ensuring that its corrupting tendrils spread far and wide, leaving no corner untouched. In embracing this calculated perversion, the martyr becomes a living testament to the dangers of the occult. Through corruption, collusion, violence, and the summoning of malevolent entities, the purist cause gains a potent weapon to expose the true face of the occult to the unsuspecting public. In this calculated descent into darkness, the martyr becomes the harbinger of revelation, laying bare the sinister narrative that lies beneath the deceptive veneer of enchantment.
      • Aid the Radical Occultist, the Mutated, the Afflicted:
        • The martyr, in their pursuit of awakening the masses, aligns with radical occultists, becoming a true ally within their ranks. By aiding and abetting their sinister missions, the martyr exposes the true extent of the occult's danger, allowing the public to witness firsthand the violence and malevolence that lies beneath the surface of enchantment. The corrupted martyr must aid in spreading violence, and aiding all missions in which the Argentum takes. To further illuminate the occult's malevolent potential, the martyr delves into the summoning of dangerous entities. These beings, harnessed through forbidden rituals, act as harbingers of chaos, showcasing the terrifying consequences of unchecked magical power.
      • Utilizing Violent Means:
        • The martyr employs any and all means necessary to accentuate the violent tendencies of the occult. Acts of terror, subversion, and chaos become tools in the purist arsenal, a symphony of malevolence orchestrated to unveil the true face of the occult and its insidious desires.
      • Exploiting Occult Rituals:
        • The martyr infiltrates occult rituals, exploiting them to their fullest extent. By manipulating these ceremonies, the martyr accentuates their malevolent aspects, revealing to the public the true nature of the occult's intentions and the peril that lies in their mystical machinations.
