Personality

Flux is the main spirit that "controls" the body. though sometimes other spirits will force their way in, causing uncontrollable outbursts and sometimes violence. Flux is quite sweet and shy, usually only speaking when spoken to and preferring to stay in the darker areas of Regalia. They are quite sensetive to noise, usually covering their ears when the slightest loud noise happens in the immediate area

Appearance Information

Flux is a quite large collection of spirits who have mainly died in deep caves. usually researchers or miners. their skin is a light gray, mimicking stone in some fashion. they have some sort of deep blue fungus (definitely not sculk) growing along some parts of their body and some on the top of their head that seems to fashion as hair. they have deep blue almost hollow eyes.

Backstory/Plothooks
When the Spirit Colony that Flux eventually joined first formed, they were stuck in a large cave, covered in the same fungus that grows on them today. the colony lived in this cave for nearly 100 years, completely uninterrupted and accepting new spirits with open arms. they slowly collected knowledge and lore of this fungus. studying it and learning how it reacted to stimuli and eventually allowing it to grow on them. after another several years of this, Flux found their way into this cave, still alive. they were a researcher, coming down to explore and collect any samples. eventually Flux ran into the spirit colony, curious and primarily confused on why a spirit colony was down there, flux interacted with them. they became good friends with the spirit that was the main "controller" at the time, though they have long forgotten their name. Flux eventually realised the way they had come in was near impossible to leave through, so they started living in the cave with the colony until they died at the ripe old age of 76, joining the spirit colony and making their way to the top of the chain, eventually becoming the "controller" and spending years attempting to find a way out of the cave. eventually they find a way, managing to squeeze through a crack and reach the surface.

Unbound Spirit Mechanics

  • Colony Mechanic I: Colony Spirits gain +7 Intelligence added after assigning their 14 Proficiency Points, but cannot invest in Intelligence Point Buy. Also their Persuasion Cap is 14, and they gain +4 to Persuasion Rolls.
  • Colony Mechanic II: Each time a Colony Spirit is Exorcised or killed, they lose 1 Intelligence (they can regain it when the Player deems fitting). If they hit 2 Intelligence, they gain +1 Attack Stat (cap up to 11).
  • Colony Mechanic III: Colony Spirits gain the Mimicry Pack Magical Variant for free, but they cannot use the mechanic to change their appearance into that which they are mimicking.
  • Colony Mechanic IV: Colony Spirits can choose 1 Adapt Point Buy Pack (must be Magical Variant) for free, except Shapeshift Pack. Alternatively, they can choose 1 Pack from Tech Point Buy, instead.
  • Colony Mechanic V: Colony Spirits are immune to anything that would read/alter their emotions or conscience, and if killed, can always respawn in a different place 1 hour later.
