I think we all did it. We joined the server, and rushed off to some survival world. Thankfully, I joined rp about a month after joining. So, where did you first set up residence? For me, I didn't join a fac until several months after joining the server. I stayed in an oak tree in Fendarfell, with a four-block-high wall of dirt and cobble surrounding it. There were a few chests and tunnels leading underground in it. Me, my brother, and a few friends stayed there for a while, killing MassiveMobs from over the walls until we were attacked by a bunch of PvPers. I then went to Regalia, and joined the rp community.

I joined in the time of Ceardia, in SilverEdge (MOST AMAZING WORLD EVERRRRRRRR). I actually started a faction with my friend Harshsparrow. He had built a faction named Aurora, which actually still stands to this day. I made a really awesome house with a garage and the door actually moved, due to the portcullis plug-in. I was in love with it, i stayed there constantly. Now that taxes came through and harshsparrow is an inactive player, my house unclaimed and people griefed the crap out of it, and now it sits there, but I currently live underground in my awesome base in Fendarfell and also own a snow volcano base in Fendarfell as well, one of the only snow volcanoes too!

I lived under havenreach, back when the spawn was only half protected. I could still find he cave I made with a torch still showing signs of my home.

I remember searching the dynmaps for a place to live. I went to Ithania and ran all the way across the desert to the forests on the other side. Then I made myself a little hole in the hill and lived there all the way until Ithania started resetting (though for some reason those chunks still hasn't reset yet).

'twas a little cave that I made my home even after joining the factions, mostly where all my chests were, as well as crop and tree farms. It was kept hidden for a really long time, all the way until Ithania started resetting and someone apparently found it.

I didn't have a home for quite a few months when I first joined MassiveCraft, I mostly just ran around Regalia and roleplayed. I joined a few factions but they weren't the best and I left fairly quickly. The first place I could actually call home was in a faction called Arakdan.

I made a hobbit hole with a tree on top of it in Kelmoria (the world). Good times...

When I first joined massive I lived in Kelmoria that little island full of Quartz Where I built a boat on the coast and got rekt by a vampire prem in Full diamond armor, he was so rood 2 me

As soon as I joined I headed straight to Fenderfell and started a faction with my friend. We built a tower in the mountains near the coast. We lived there for awhile then moved locations due to a close factions. Eventually I branched out, left the faction and started my own private faction, and that's where I am today.

I present to you a "schematic" of my first faction, from 2013!

My friends @Kaerek and @Coreden had played on the server long before I, but this is the first base they built with me included. It actually progressed quite a bit further than this, the farm was completed as were 3 other houses, a mine to the right, half of the walls and half of the town centre. But sadly I didn't get a picture of it past this point.

Back then there was no Massiverestore, and the currency was still in gold/silver as opposed to regals, and it was in New Ceardia, which was super new at the time. Really old and not the best, but we loved it.

(Sadly we all became inactive for a period and it was claimed over, then eventually lost to massiverestore </3)

I joined the faction of suscarnus, and lived decently well. I think the first thing I did was get lost in Valaen when I first went on the server, and I was so confused

My first home was in a faction called Vrovona in Ithania and it was lead by @Enderdonut . The castle no longer exists due to MassiveRestore but I remember it very well. Good times.

My first and last home. Hakeyama. It has been seriously dismantled from its original building design, but I wouldn't necessarily say griefed. Half the cobble and wood buildings have been dismantled. I generally tend to believe someone tried to dismantle it just because it's a fond memory of mine but oh well.

It used to look "okay ish".

The last base I worked on, it's the square wall at the very center of the picture. everything around it like the towers and the castle on the right were built after I left the place. That wall was all I could produce until staff work became so intense I didn't have time for a faction anymore.
