Backstory

• It was once upon a time, when a man fell to his knees in the tundral wasteland, then cried out to his Gods. Eili- Vola. Fenra, to wrap his bleeding heart in yarrow. Norn, to be so kind as to cut his strings, lest he suffer another day. Helvard, to embrace him, if he were to join the Godsrot. Sharnel, to wipe his tears with her cloth. From then, he would never tell his story in the same way. Eydís remembers it as a bolt of lightning striking before her father, where the Arken of Justice could see hundreds of timelines of his end. The Kaina were better off than the Hjordi, though still endangered by the Urlan, as written by the great tapestries of fate. Perhaps it was a challenge, then, to see what one child might endure. Abandon the babe to the man, then collect it again once its time was due. Except, no Arken had a great sense of time. But, where one door closes, another opens. Artarel is not the name she has grown fond of. It is Bard, the Justice Claw.
• He did not bring back a child. He brought a warrior, who was born with a thirst for it. A weapon, that could be used against the Urlan that hunted his kind. Such hatred was easy to teach in the young child. Blue eyes, bright as flames, that took on green trails of smoke at the dismal sights they would see. Her father's fort, small yet meant to last the coldest winters, would feel differing things of the child's presence. Some were hesitant, questioning her father, while others felt to be blessed by the Gods. Though, none in the fort had ever raised such a child. Controlled isolation was considered to be the safest option, until the child would learn past her juvenile immaturities.
• While she rarely socialized with others of her fort, the she-bear had a certain influence. Elders would often remind her father to be grateful, when he was drunk and making a fool of himself, for the blessing that was his child. It was he, who gave life to her. A protector, that increased the survivability of their people. Urlan blood would be spilled for years to come. She would take her own damages; a tattooed body loitered with deep scars. Many dug a grave for her, time and time again, in fear that she would not return. She, the hunter, and the Urlan, the hunted.

• Eydís is from a small Kaina fort, which is known as Höfn. It is highly unlikely that any Regalian will know where this is, unless they are familiar with the Kaina Velheim people. She will keep her defenses up around the general Velheim, but will automatically lend her trust to any fellow Kaina or Hjordi. Additionally, Hjordi Velheim might know a tall tale that has been spun in recent years. A woman, or a sentient bear, that would cross the strait into . territory. There, she would pass between different villages, stalking their perimeters and swearing to keep them safe.
• Eydís is the spawn of Justice, but has refracted into Bard's image, having lived her entire life as such. She is sworn to the Fornoss Pantheons, balancing her beliefs between both the Eili and Vola. Naturally, her fronting patron is Bard. She will look to assert herself as a leader amongst her faith, or otherwise play as their personal vigilante. Eydís will acquaint best with other Fornoss Arkenborn and Godborn.
• Eydís does not recognize herself as a Lanlath. Culturally, she is an Ailor, and has always been one. Lathan is a mystery to her. Unbeknownst to her, she is a traitor, being aligned to two dimensions at once. Her spark is attuned to the Eidolon and Eternum planes. She is most attuned to the Light School and the Fated School of these respective planes. Eydís would benefit from a mentor in magic.
