The following notice would be posted outside the All-Beacon Temple with little fanfare, just like the countless others that were routinely placed there. However, this one would likely generate a bit of a buzz.

Exorcism Report - January 8th, 312AC

As is customary when an exorcism is performed by an Everian at a Unionist Temple, a report has been written and posted outside the largest temple in the area to declare healing and warn readers to remain vigilant. If you believe you or a loved one are being influenced by a demonic force, contact an Everian today.

Presiding Everian: Countess Viviwynne Gwentyr
Supporting Everian(s): N/A
Witness(es): Ser Klaus von Hohenberg
Patient: Lord Lieven Gwentyr (née Thorner)
Type of Influence: Mind Control (inferred)
Symptoms: None visible, potential memory tampering or loss.

Action Report: Patient was escorted to the Guided Unionist Temple. Upon the arrival of the Viridian Ser Klaus von Hohenberg, the Presiding Everian began the exorcism, using the element of surprise to negate any chances the Patient had at being demonically influenced into fleeing. Patient notably winced in pain, before an evil miasma exited their body and was destroyed by holy light. Patient was exhausted by the exorcism and was provided nourishment. Available information suggests that since the Patient's personality did not change before or after the event, the Patient was not directly possessed, but under some form of mind control. Patient was unaware they were being influenced and was unable to determine what they may have been influenced to do, as is normal in cases such as these.

Presiding Everian Additional Commentary: I hope this case serves as a reminder that it is important for everyone, especially members of the peerage, to carefully monitor who they come in to contact with. You never know who could be trying to corrupt your soul.

Report concluded.
The Everwatcher's light will triumph over the darkness.

OOC pings for being mentioned: @Trackedpilled @FeatheredBlade Also, readers, feel free to use/modify this as a template for exorcisms or whatever. I think it would be cool if they got reported more.

By the warmth of his hearth and in the comfort of his home, joined only by his beloved and soon-to-be better half, Markus felt the need to quip at the news recently brought to him.

"Call me a hypocrite if you must, low hanging fruit and what not, but do you not find it convenient that in recent times Lieven Gwentyr has been under public scrutiny, only for it to now be revealed that he has supposedly been under
the influence of another?

What is even more convenient, I find, is that the only presiding Everian just so happened to be his matriarch."

There were of course servants, and servants have a penchant for gossip indeed. Perhaps word of Markus' thoughts escaped the safety of his estate.

A certain Knight-Captain of the Aelrrigan Order has nailed this parchment next to the Everian's.

"Patient was mind-controlled..." Yvea pauses, eyeing the report, and eyeing Markus next. "Convenient. For how long? And just how did a Lord manage to be put under that kind of influence?"

Not a coil shifts out of place as she paces, considering the questions she laid out for her and her partner to mull over. "Unless, of course, he partook..." She swivels sharply, not missing a beat. "...in the studies of theurgy.

"Do you know how many people get into summoning books, even by chance? And then they perform the rituals. That's what I would put my money on."

Needless to say, the Count and his staff are then subjected to a good-winded spiel on various literary matters, leaving only her strongly expressed opinion to stand out. @Arhbi

In Response to the Exorcism Report filed by Everian-Countess Gwentyr

I write this today as not only an Everian but as a concerned member of the peerage.

I was made aware of the ongoing investigations involving House Gwentyr and the allegations concerning Lord Gwentyr's supposed connection with a demonic-influenced force. These claims, along with the successful exorcism, raise concerns that there might be a grain of truth to the accusation, although it doesn't confirm the nature of this relation with the demonic entity as positive or negative.

Reflecting on the events following the trial nearly a week ago, I believe it was not ideal to exclude the Alerrigans from the exorcism. Their presence could have significantly aided their ongoing investigation by witnessing the resolution and may have allowed for the case to be closed.

As Countess Gwentyr wisely mentioned, vigilance regarding everyone we encounter is necessary. It is possible that the Lord might have been hexed many months ago, even before his accession into nobility, known to some, and only recently liberated. Being attentive to others' behavior is crucial, and every accusation should be taken seriously until proven false or addressed.

My hope is for House Gwentyr and Lord Gwentyr to recover from this ordeal. I'm grateful that someone like the Everian-Countess was able to rid their kin of such torment.
