With the Curia Militum in place, Regalians would hear of the first troop and navy movements. The Ostmark made the first move eastward as it continued to harass Songaskia shipping, forcing them to port or sailing dangerously close to the ships to risk smashing into them. No cannon shots were fired, though the Songaskia aggressively protested to the provoking attitude of the Regalian warships that continued to prowl the coastlines. It was not entirely certain whether the Songaskia were capable of responding, or how stable their Empire currently war. Regalia was aware of the fact that Bone Horrors still had a sizeable presence in Farah'deen, but it was uncertain how strong the Songaskia army or war fleet was at this point. With no real struggle arising, and with a lack of violent actions, the armed forces in the region continued to patrol as per orders.
The Crown personally oversaw the movement of the troops, and mixed himself on a far more personal and touchable level with the foot soldiers. The presence of the Spirit greatly lifted the morale of the soldiers, and their fervor for the Empire and for the cause of Unionism was never greater. After personally participating in some of the harassment tactics used against the Songaskia, the Crown returned to Regalia proper.
In the north, the Obermark Army made some moves of its own, entirely without order from the Admiralty, though on personal initiative. The fleet and army in specific mobilized on the northern border of the Nordskag Kingdom. While greatly appreciated by the bedridden King who was presumed to be in his dying days, the sudden surge of military movements on the border between Nordskag and Hvitskag severely agitated the Hvitskaggers who in turn mobilized massive forces on the northern side. From Mirnoye, the Novilyud seemed to also anxiously look at the ship movements, which had to pass their territory to reach Hvitskag. No real movements were made on any side, but it was clear that a simple fuse was needed to cause a local skirmish to devolve into full-scale war between Hvitskag and Nordskag.
On the diplomatic front, the various alliances that were building made no real further progress. Tylleronde continued to try and flirt with the Avanthar, but the Avanth and its Royal Tribe harshly rejected Regalia's dishonorable reputation when it came to promising to assist the Elves and then dismissing treaties. Additionally, Tylleronde's movements towards the Orcs proved to the Avanth that the Ailor would never see them as a truly valuable ally to respect. The Orcs of the various tribes were very receptive of Tylleronde's overtures, especially since he enforced them with shipments of weapons from Marshal von Treppewitz. No formal treaty was signed by the Orcs, as they obviously lacked a central state and authority, but droves and hordes of Orc bands and tribes joined military service with Regalia, promised wealth and honor in combat by the growing concerns of a global political melt down. Masses of Orcs moved east to the Shore Governorates, inhabiting massive war camps outside the major Viceroyalties of Daenshore and Braga.
Upon the return of the Crown to Regalia, Cedromar the First announced a decree with Holy Assent that a coronation was no longer required. The Crown, now officially to be referred to as Emperor, announced that the Spirit had deemed the ascension to the throne in formality necessary, but wished not to spend the usual sum of 30 million Regals on a lavish coronation ceremony. He furthermore indicated that he did not need the blessing of the Sanchella of Union, or a priestly figure to affirm the ascension as said affirmation had already been confirmed during the inheritance of the throne by the Elective Law. The Crown furthermore wished the people to steady themselves for conflict, as the global geopolitical situation was charging straight for a conflict, most notably with the Songaskia. The Songaskia were technically still undergoing their civil war, the legal Massya was still hiding in Regalia under the protection of the Emperor, while his uncle sat on the throne in Farahdeen, ruling his Empire with a strong anti-Regalian sentiment. The Crown indicated that war was a necessity, for the new Songaskia Massya would eventually come for Regalia once more, and the Songaskia occupation was still too fresh in mind.
Finally, Isldar were moving around in Ellador, far beyond the usual borders of the Isldar stormlands, occupying Ailor towns and Dwarven outposts. They made no real violent move to fight the locals, rather, they made it very obvious to those who they occupied that they were benevolent. That being said, their benevolence was enforced by the will of the Forstweaver Dragon, and they certainly made their overbearing military might known by openly and frequently using the Frost Wyvren to instill fear in the people on the ground. The Isldar made no real demands on either Regalia or the Dwarven Holds, so Tylleronde advised the Emperor to ignore the issue for now. This luxury was however not available to the Dwarves. The Isldar, while not making any communications, seemed to inch closer and closer to the Dwarven Holds with military forces. The Dwarves inside Grebor and Anduin reinforced their position, anticipating a war with the Isldar, which was not yet guaranteed.
