-Experiencing Fear:
When fearful, Erwald reacts with excessive caution and initially tries to put distance between himself and the source. He quickly places himself in front of any vulnerable companions and may resort to facing the threat head on if required to remove it.
-Experiencing Stress:
It is usually easy to see when Erwald is stressed due to his loud sighs and gestures, such as running a hand through his hair. He responds by pushing through the task until its completion or stepping away for a break to calm down and approach with a clear head later.
-Experiencing Happiness:
In contrast to his usual practised mannerisms, Erwald seems far more sincere and genuinely content to be somewhere when happy. He sports brighter smiles, audibly expresses his enjoyment and seems less tense or thoughtful than he might otherwise be, which is most noticeable to those that know him.
-Law and Authorities:
Erwald has a positive view of the law and authorities, especially the Viridian Order he resides in, and has a large respect for those that enforce it. Whilst he used to be more reckless and willing to bend the rules, this has changed since his Viridian training considering he now follows the rules and is willing to assist when asked.
-Racial Views:
Despite being rather lenient in other aspects of his life, Erwald finds it difficult to trust those that are not Ailor or vouched for by people he knows. He is willing to work or interact with them and recognises their strengths though prefers to rely on fellow Ailor if given a choice.
-Religious Views:
Erwald considers himself a devout Unionist, recognises the Spirit and will follow the relevant practices when he can. He tends to be indifferent to other faiths, aside from hatred towards Void Worship, and would rather allow people to follow what they believe in than push them towards another path.
-Arcane Views:
Largely due to his sister's magical abilities, Erwald is more lenient on the arcane than most and has actively befriended and assisted mages in the past through the Azure Order. He recognises the severe threat of magic but believes it is dependent on the user, with no harm coming from using approved mages to utilise their knowledge.
-Family Views:
Erwald tends to put his family before anything else in his life, with a focus on their wellbeing and continuing their existing legacy. He ensures time is always put aside to check on their activities and ensure they are content with his current decisions, though secretly harbours resentment towards the kin that have departed over the years.
-Biggest insecurity:
Following his various predecessors and being amongst the noble peerage, Erwald is conscious that he may not be making an impact or making a strong legacy for himself. Whilst he has confidence in his abilities, he privately debates whether he is making the right choices and pushing House Ravenstad in the right direction.
-Proudest Achievement:
Erwald is proud about his combat history, having served in various conflicts with the Viridian Order, assisted the Azure Order and has contributed to two wars against the Kathar. He feels pride when thinking of the foes he has faced and the people he was protected whilst doing so, notably a Dragon Knight that was slain on Mt Saint Helens.
-Motivation:
The main motivation in Erwald's life is his immediate family, such as his young son and his sister. He keeps them at the forefront of his decisions and continues to push himself in order to give them additional opportunities and resources to get through life.
-Biggest fear:
Erwald has a large fear of failure, whether it be in regards to the Empire, Viridian Order or his family. He tends to mentally kick himself for making poor choices and wants to be known as a strong and capable individual rather than being responsible for a decline or loss.

=-Life Story-=

Years 0 - 10:

-Born to Constance Rosamund Ravenstad and Rolf Dalfin Ravenstad née Krier, 268 AC.
-With a lack of dedicated parental supervision, Erwald's upbringing was largely influenced by his brothers, who provided the essential support and companionship that he fondly remembers before Medard’s departure.
-Following the birth of his sister, Valerie, he developed a close bond with her as they both grew up alongside Bastian, which involved many sparring sessions and brawls until their interests eventually separated.
-Erwald developed a close relationship with Rolf’s brother, Vincent, the Master of Ships for the Ravenstad family. He spent many afternoons watching him work and listened to his stories of their careers at sea.
-Whenever his mother was free from court, Erwald took interest in finding out what she had been up to and her views on the current political landscape. He considers these conversations to be what encouraged his diplomatic skill, due to his mother’s experience, sharp tongue and quick wit.
-Erwald received a standard education from tutors, through which he discovered his passion for reading. He treated them as a gateway to the wider world he had yet to experience.


Years 11 - 23:

-With the absence of both of his brothers and his sister being tutored separately, Erwald's main company became a group of friends with whom he played and roamed the surroundings towns during their younger years.
-Erwald eventually followed the footsteps of his cousins and joined the School of Viridian, starting his education at the age of 10 after convincing his mother to pay for the tuition from the family funds.
-He travelled to Kurtenwald Castle in Regalia to start his training, becoming familiar with the surrounding countryside and towns due to the multiple excursions he would take in his free time.
-During this time, Erwald realised that whilst he wasn’t as arrogant or self-centred as the other knights, he could match their combat ability through constant practice. This lead to his refined skill with a variety of different swords.
-He proved to be a promising student to those in charge of his training, due to his desire to constantly improve, though looked forward to seeing his kin during their visits to the castle.
-During his training, he was sent out with the rest of the Order to join the Chrysant War to gain some initial battle experience at the age of 18.
-After the conflict’s conclusion, he spent a few years in Regalia with his fellow knights to understand how they operated in the wider world before returning home to Brissaud.
-Erwald would later complete the School of Viridian, resulting in him joining the Viridian Order. Following this, he spent a few years in Regalia with his fellow knights to understand how they operated in the wider world before returning home to Brissaud.


Years 24 - 34:

-The Ravenstad remained at home for a short while to reconcile with his family, particularly his mother and uncle. He also set time aside to reunite with his friends and catch up with his contacts in Brissaud.
-The Ranger Crisis resulted in the majority of the Viridian Knights amongst the Ravenstads heading out to fight, with Erwald following suit to do his duty.
-His family slowly started to move over to their countryside estate in Regalia, Buerg Eleng, to make use of the capital’s opportunities and political scene. Erwald stayed behind to keep his aging uncle company whilst he decided where to head next in life.
-Eventually, he was encouraged to return to Regalia and reunited with his closest kin, such as his sister, nephew and cousins. Much of his early days were spent attending events and patrolling the streets to settle in once more.
-During his time in Regalia, Erwald found himself involved in a number of different combat scenarios. The most notable of these events include assisting in the rescue of a noble from the slums, the charge up Mount St Helena during the Dragon attacks and the Arken Crisis.
-This period also contained Erwald’s whirlwind romance and marriage with Czylle von Rahm, resulting in her inclusion in the Ravenstad family and the two producing a son, Bastian.


Years 35 - Present

-However, the Ravenstads eventually became split down the middle when half desired to return to Brissaud whilst the rest still had business in Regalia, which lead to Erwald and his sister following their cousin, Percival, back to their homeland. A mutual parting was agreed between Erwald and his wife, who would stay behind with her family whilst Erwald claimed their son.
-The Ravenstads remained in Brissaud for a short while, reclaiming their hold and former power. Erwald reprioritized both his family and the Viridian Order during this period, joining Percival in the Battle of the Curag Fields.
-Seeking to reform the Viridian Order, Percival set his sights on Regalia again and brought the remains of the family in tow, with Erwald not far behind.
