His attire is generally a mashup of aristocratic New-Regalian and Imperial design. His hair is well-kept and pushed up, and his beard is always cut extremely short and groomed. Life Story Erick was born in the province of Caldrinburg as the primary heir to a spiraling House von Eisner. He lived a chaotic childhood where he was groomed to take over the failing house business. The von Eisner's adolescence was far from noteworthy, as the teen was sent all around schools and academies to better his knowledge and abilities as an intellect. Erick, after completing his tenures through schools, took over House von Eisner and immediately set out to bring the family's trade business back from the dead. Over time, the man was able to do just as he wished- fixing the business and bringing the family back. At this point, he set out to expand and continue building on what his ancestors had created in House von Eisner. Eventually, Erick found himself and his family ennobled- traveling to the Holy City to engage with the peerage. Spoiler: Expanded Life Story Birth and Childhood Erick Markus von Eisner was born on November 17th, 280 AC into House von Eisner, and thus immediately thrust into a chaotic and struggling business. Throughout his early childhood, Erick spent his time exploring the port of the city- and even aboard ships alongside his father, groomed from a young age to work in economics. The Liga von Eisner, the business of the House, was in the midst of struggle and chaos- and the man responsible for said disaster was Erick’s father; a man far from capable of leading an entire House and company. From as young as six, Erick was brought along the many trade missions that his father, Otto, went on in order to instill the art of business in the boy. Adolescence and Young Adulthood Despite all this talk of business and work, Erick still had great amounts of freedom in his youth. While his family was not known for creating militaristic individuals or combatants, many of the children were educated in the art of the sword. He spent a good number of years learning swordsmanship from tutors within Calderliga and practiced the skill as he traveled around the Archipelago. At fourteen, Erick was sent to a number of schools to prepare him for adulthood. First, he was sent to Ithania and the Collegiate d’Évraux, spending some years learning the art of diplomacy with foreign and domestic leadership. From there- the Holy City, and to the Regalian Statesman Academy for the ins and outs of managing an administration. Now nearing the end of his adolescence, Erick returned to Calderliga, spending the final year of his adolescence around the leagues. Throughout this period of adolescence, Erick began to grow truly devout in his practice of Unionism. He had been introduced to the religion long ago at birth with his family, but his belief in the Spirit became unbreakable during this period. Adulthood and Present Now twenty-one years old, Erick moved away to the Narlas College of Commerce in Dragenthal, graduating with flying colors around 304 AC. To finish all the schooling, he attended the Imperial Regalian Naval Academy- graduating in 307 AC. From there, he was fully educated and on his way home. Erick began instantly on reforming the poor agreements that his father had found himself roped into- cleaning up first whatever debt was owed to other trade businesses and to the Calderligan League. It took him an extensive couple of years to clean up the problems within the business, though with time and effort it was handled. For many years Erick worked on building the family and its business, throwing himself into his own idealistic view for the future. Throughout this period, he found himself constantly traveling and building relationships; accompanied frequently by his kin. Erick traveled throughout the Regalian Archipelago and beyond, building up some form of reputation and legitimizing his business. As he traveled, Erick spent time learning the languages of many foreign cultures to fare better in discussions outside of Calderliga. As of recently, Erick and the leaders of the Handel von Eisner decided upon relocating the center of their business to the Holy City itself, believing that the city had the most opportunity to grow and reach aristocracy. @Lizmun After playing the character for some time, I've edited the application to better reflect how Erick has been played. These were my changes. Aged down from 34 to 30. Lowered Sword Combat from 10 to 5. Added Etos and Skodje through Linguistics. Some minor backstory changes to reflect current events and proficiency changes.
