The invitation was rather plain and very unobtrusive, but, as you opened the envelope, the faint aroma of kaffee seemed to wrap itself around the smell letter inside. The paper itself was plan and simple parchment, but the script was surprisingly elegant. The loops and scrolls through the script seemed to promise something quite lovely. The invitation, despite the elegant and formal script, was worded in a very friendly manner... My Dear Friend, It's starting to get quite cold outside, isn't it? And with the famine in the capital city, things are certainly a bit gloomy... With this in mind, there is no better time to gather with friends, share a warm drink, and catch up while practicing some thread-craft. Whether you knit, crochet, weave, or simply tangle immense throw-able knots from string, you are invited to join us to share in some friendly chatter, a warm drink, and some baked goods imported from Essalonia, care of the Enigman Republic. Our kind and generous hosts at the Fier et Calme Teahaus in Regalia are preparing a space for us, so bring a friend or two to share some kaffee with. We surely could all use some cheering. Sincerely, Ginevra Brahmin Chancellor of the Enigman Republic As you folded the small invitation back into the envelope, you noticed a small slip in the envelope with "RSVP" written across the top.... OOC Notes: Enigma is hosting an IC Cocoa and Crochet event. HUGE Shout out to @mochalattes for agreeing to host us at the Tea Haus <3 When: Friday, October 12th, 8:00pm EST/1:00 AM BST Where: The gorgeous and ever-welcoming Fair et Calme TeaHaus in Regalia For our Factions friends: This will be IC--please send me a mail if you need help with some RP basics--but you are still of course allowed to come! :) Cheers! <3
The Cocoa and Crochet event went off well. It started with first some yarn being looped around the crochet hooks, some cocoa being shared, and quite a few knots woven between all the visitors. Making knots (cause thread arts prof = 0) from the yarn with pointed and hooked sticks. The evening progressed with some frustration and a great deal of delightful cocoa and kaffee. It was as the event was drawing to a conclusion, however, that sparks seemed to kindle between a somewhat newly-introduced couple. While the first attempt resulted in a "cat toy", the second resulted in a gorgeous gift that he presented to the lady he arrived with. The evening closed with one final round of drinks before all parties retired home--with one couple finding themselves romantically alone along the way. The evening was a very cozy success with the thunder and lightning outside setting an even cozier mood! Thank you to all who came and RP'd making things with us! (Or knots/cat toys for those less proficient, lol!)
