    Life Story

    Childhood in Ancellois
    • Emile was born in Ancellois as the son of Willem de Piedmont, a member of the wealthy de Piedmont family, and to his mother, a member of another mechantile family in Hadravia.
    • From an early point, he was very much the black sheep of the family, he didn't exactly fit in with his cousins. At one point in his childhood he would have to follow his parents to Hadravia for a few years as they established trading ties in the foreign land.
Youth in the School of Marshalry
    • At age 14, Emile's father sent him to the school of marsharly in Regalia. He would yet again be sent away from the rest of his wider family that he had only just got somewhat close to for a second time.
    • The next ten years would pass rather uneventful, he studies, made friendship and relationships as most kids would do in his situation. He was not the best of students though, he was never fond of the seemingly standarized ways of doing things, he prefer being creative and arbitrary, both with generic acedemia and the marsharly content.
    Adventures at sea.
    • After graduating the school of masharly 10 years later, he would find a position shadowing another experienced general where he would actually learn to become a general rather than just learning the theory or how to act like a general in public. The general he was following was a far cry from the prestige and pompousness of the school of marshalry, instead the general was a realist who liked to get into the grit of it all, in a way treating being a general as some sort of craft. In reality, these few years shadowing this general would be a big adventure, running around aloria, seeing what it had to offer.
    The prisoner of Dexai
    • In his third year following this general, they would board a ship to Dexai as part of a diplomatic mission. On route they would get trappen within a storm as they approached the eastern land, causing the ship to sink, letting him wash up to shore.
    • He was found by a group of Sihai fishermen who found him in his makeshift driftwood shelter, giving him the nick name 'driftwood' in Wa'an. They would take him to their remote backwater village.
    • He soon found himself in the employment of the local lord where Emile would offer his talent as a general to help lead the lord fight against their neighbour. Tactics were different in the east and he saw the desperate outnumbers lord he fought for use guerrilla tatics to gain an upper hand, something he had not seen with the Regalian general who was usually the occupier and already had the upper hand.
    • During this time, Emile was caught having an affair with the lord's daughter. Once the lord found out he was furious and imprisoned Emile. For the next 18 month, Emile would sit there, trapped in the cell in a foreign land.
    • Once agian it was up to the same pair of fishermen who saved Emile in the first place to save him again. The fishermen along with Emile had rose up the ranks in the court of the local lord and were in a position to actually help.
    • They eventually got him out after months of careful planning and the successful exectution of the escape. The first thing Emile thought to do was get out of Dexai as soon as possible, heading to the nearest outpost of the Regalian Empire.
    Current day
    • Once he got to that Regalian settlement, he found his family had made their way up in Regalian society and now were residing in the city of Regalia. He took the next ship from the edge of the empire to it's heart.
    • He has now made it to the city of Regalia to help his family in their endevours, and to actually use his skills as a general for a change.
