✻ Experiencing Fear:
----↠ Emmeline, despite her attempts at creating an easy-going and care-free facade, is quite fearful. Telltale signs of fear are the wrinkling of her brow, whitening of her knuckles as she grips something tightly, and paling of her face. Albeit her training, Emmeline becomes somewhat impulsive when fearful - acting without thinking prior.

----↠ Living the life of a noblewoman often proves stressful, and Emmeline has not been spared this. Even if she is stressed, she's reluctant to express it - wishing instead to present a front of carelessness and candor. She's a frequent victim of migraines, often prompted by political situations. Some describe her as relatively irritable during these moods.

----↠ This emotion is most prevalent for Emmeline. Her features typically display a wide grin, a tad lopsided - her left not quite matching her right. She's incredibly controlling, however, and is critical of the actions of those around her. This has caused many issues in her personal relationships, some of which she's never repaired. Overall, Emmeline considers family the second most important thing, lesser only to morality and virtue.

----↠ Emmeline's biggest fears are failure, and water. She's terrified of disappointing everyone around her, to the point she pushes this fear onto other people. She is a control freak, wishing for situations and people to conform to her expectations and desires. The fear of water, in her mind, is irrational. She's intimidated by what could be lurking beneath the depths, or what could happen if her limbs failed her. Baths are both relaxing and stressful for her - her overactive imagination getting the best of her.

----↠ Emmeline Delmotte was born in the ancestral, familial lands of her house; the Ithanian-culture stronghold of Basta in the Spring of 281 AC. The second oldest of four children, she was born to Katriane Delmotte, the sixth Baroness Delmotte, and Jean Francois de Mont-du-Argent. Her brother, Louis, was closest in age to her; her older sibling, and they were inseparable throughout their childhood. Her sisters were nowhere close as fond, who she treated as little more than runts in their early childhood given the five year difference to her closest sister. Her father was largely hands-off due to his service in the Regalian military and subsequent death in the opening stage of the Chrysant War.

----↠ As she grew, she fit into the ideal of what her mother expected of her as an heiress, what a true Ithanian woman was meant to be. She didn’t spend much time with her sisters, though the closest to her was Fleur, who was the kindest out of all her siblings. She was a faithful companion to her, tutoring her in the things that would be expected of her as she grew into womanhood.

----↠ Emmeline continued to meet the expectations of her mother at every turn, striving in excellence to impress with regards to her continued schooling in etiquette, ladyhood and so forth. After expressing her desire to do something more with her life, the Heiress was inducted into her city’s chapter of the Matrais Knights. She learned the ways of the blade, and the trade of weaving and sewing her own clothing, which she continues to use today. There she created lasting relationships, and began to follow the code of Ehren.

----↠ Emmeline finished her tutelage around the age of seventeen, and was sent abroad to tour the courts of Ithania at the behest of her mother. It was in the Hivres that she would continue to develop her skills as a lady, establishing friendships with many lower ladies present within the courts of the Ithanian Princesses as well as some foreigners. One of those foreigners was Lord Valdis Kade, the grandchild of the then-chancellor Mortiarty Kade, and nephew of the man who would later become Emperor Alexander I. They were very close during his brief stay at the court of the de l'Édificièrre Household in Joyau-vert du Nord, where she coincidently was staying at the time.

She remained in Ithania until the latter half of 304 AC, recalled to Basta due to an accident that left her mother in a vegetative state. Taking up the title and authority of Baroness, she was involved herself in the politics of nobility since, more recently walking a fine line between support of Ivrae and Old Ithanian values, and the radical change brought by de Gosselin -- the latter mostly urged on by her male siblings, though she herself remains undecided, favoring whatever she deems best for her people at large. As more and more of her siblings and family began to arrive within the Holy City, Emmeline found the Barony, now elevated to County, a weight on her shoulders she couldn’t bear, and subsequently passed the title to her eldest brother, Louis Delmotte. She thus began courting the Duke Erwald Ravenstad, and they were quick to wed.
