On both sides of his head there are crescent shaped horns that are jet black in nature, with cracks running down them that leak a dull red glow. As for Elred's face, the skin and flesh is stretched, replaced by a large maw that covers most of the real estate on his skull, holding jagged fangs that protrude from every angle within. He stands at eight feet tall and usually wears revealing clothing, showing off his upper pale white body that contrasts with his lower pure black body. His form is covered in Katharic scripture, tattooed onto his body in black ink, while his left arm has it in white ink. Elred usually keeps his blacked out arm wrapped in a sling/sash, rarely taking it out. Void Rift: Elred has multiple slits on his face, leading to the appearance of spiderwebbed veins around his eyes as inky black blood seeps out to stain the rest of his face. Void Scalp: Elred's head of hair has been replaced to become a bunch of fleshy black tentacles, passively writhing around atop his skull. Void Pigment: Elred's left arm has shifted to a pure black pigment, almost absorbing the light that hits his exposed skin. He is not inherently good or evil, doing everything for his own selfish reasons. The only people he'd help without wanting something in return are fellow sanguine kin and close friends. But Elred tends not to get too close with most, choosing to stay alone and keep his mind clear of relationship drama, choosing to keep it purely for his knowledge. Choose your Character's Religion Faith of the Dark Ancients (7/10) Life Story Elred was born into the Cult of Shadows that his parents partook in, being a child born under the head of the cult. His father having ritualist powers, blessed by the void. From a young age, he was groomed to become someone powerful in a world ruled by arcane beings, being taught the ways of the void and how its powers could make him stronger in life. Seduced by the words his parents and others in the cult spouted, Elred got hooked and followed their ways with religious fervor to gain the powers he was promised. He studied magical knowledge and learned the history of his kind while within the cult, also mastering his sorcery as he grew. He continued diligently worshiping the void, the cult watching the empire from the shadows, waiting for a day that their demon overlords would arrive from the void and empower them. Elred became more and more powerful through the years, his father having passed away. He assumed the position as one of the top-ranking members within. This is when Elred got the first taste of the true power he could wield and it drove him to scour any and all books he could get his hands on for knowledge. At the age of thirty-three, the fifth void invasion struck and caused chaos throughout the Allorn Empire. Once again the void opened up and leaked demons into Binral, uncountable numbers of the void force corrupting all animal and plant life they came across on the way to fight the empire. Chaos ensued as the invading forces approached, infighting among the cults and upper classes spreading and causing assassinations in hopes of the cults getting to serve their demon masters. Everything was crumbling and hope was lost among the empire, but not among the race. Estel saved her people, her statue in the Altalar's capital disappearing as her scream raced across the world. The thunderclap of the veil permanently tearing, sounded loudly for all those to hear. Most of the demons were destroyed or sent into a realm with shattered portals that wouldn't allow them to return, essence pouring out from the void and exist dimensions to affect the world in their place. Continents sunk, the seas rose, new lands spouted up, and new patterns of weather exploded out into the world. Throughout all this, the wildering spread, Estel's punishment taking what was left of the empire and crumbling it to ruins. The Empire was lost and Elred found himself changed, his powers weakened from its once great state to an almost inexistent force within him, along with his race. His appearance shifted as he'd been corrupted by the essence of the dimension that he had praised so much in hopes of strengthening himself. Elred among many others from the cults came together soon after these events to form a new empire as a new race, as most of the other Nelfin had. During this time he reproduced with many to grow their numbers and strength against others. With their dread empire, they could begin to prosper once again and learn their new powers. All the slaves and marauders pillaged and looted, crushing the Altalar that remained and tried to hold on to what was. In the coming years, Elred's greed for knowledge and power only grew with the loss of his previous strength. He rediscovered how to control his sorcery and ritualist powers but didn’t wield the same strength he once had, the abilities much weaker then they used to be. He embraced what he'd become now, exploring what powers his race could now use to ensure their survival and dominance over other empires and races. He moved around, traveling through Nelfin territories to connect and teach others in a disguised form, parading around as an Altalar. He spent quite some time doing so and those he met adored him, but he always kept a distance between others and himself. Only befriending those with a passion for knowledge-seeking that matched his. From this, he got new perspectives of life, how those of other races functioned in their societies, and what values they had for day to day life. Though, he soon went against his social standing on keeping a distance between himself and others, growing closer to an Avanthar woman he met while in Hyarroc, by the name of Orielle. The two were eventually wed and had a child together, who was named Heather after the Avanthar’s grandmother. In the coming years the small family was content, Elred and his bride raised Heather together, Orielle teaching the child of hunting, foraging, and other wildlife skills, while Elred tutored them on history and all things arcane. By the time Heather had turned six, Orielle and her family began to suspect that Elred wasn’t who he said he was, being a Kathar in disguise. His secret was soon exposed and the family cast him out in disgust, chasing him from their lands without a chance for him to leave with Heather. Lost and filled with sorrow, he returned home, using coin he'd made from his travels to build an estate. Holding multiple libraries and studies that he continued teaching at, allowing those seeking knowledge to stay with him for free, getting to sift through books in the large libraries, and attend lectures on such events that they read about. As he grew older, he began to despise those who were brutes and cared for brawn over the brains, having little knowledge to help them throughout combat and life. He started traveling around in disguise with hopes of becoming the most knowledgeable man in the world. From this he began to not only teach about events and other magical knowledge but also ritualism and void worship, preaching it to others and essentially growing his own small cult of those who lived within his large home. For the past hundred years, he's been continuing his search for knowledge and power. Spending most of his time surrounded by tomes, old and new. He mastered new languages at this time and polished all his magical knowledge since essences now leaked in to create new afflictions and curiosities. Recently hearing about the amount of arcane activity and receiving a letter from his daughter within the Regalian Empire, Elred has decided to head there. Spoiler: Life Story Expanded Present Day Ever since arriving, Elred was drawn to the sewers and slums of Regalia, meeting many unique figures who worshiped Dragons, the Void, the Exist, and even their own cultish beliefs. He supported many of the Kaahls and Covens within the Crookback, going so far as to bring them together in an alliance, known as the Alliance of the Twin Flames. With his newfound allies, chaos ensued in Regalia, guards were assaulted, districts and parks were burned, and those of the void thrived. One of the figures Elred met, was a man of twisted flesh created by the Void who went by the name of Oldritch. The Void obssessed Elred quickly became close with the monster, who was soon captured and had his magespark stripped from his soul, leaving Elred feeling lost and that the Void was undeserving of his worship. Ever since the crumbling of the Twin Flamed Alliance and Elred's betrayal against them, he's focused on restoring his relationships and repairing the bridges burned.
@3a_29 here we go: Please de-spoiler the expanded visual information as the Lich Form is something that should be seen openly. Also, remove Magilex from the robes as said character is currently not a mage. For a character that is 98 years old, the life story is pretty bare bones, pun not untended (unless...) I would like to see more expansion to describe the character development before the modern day, perhaps under the following guidelines for paragraphs: birth and upbrining early years and education early adult years, finalizing education first chunk of life after graduation second chunk of life, perhaps this is where he is converted to a Kathar and vampire. events leading up to recent times. See what you can do with this, and tag me once complete.

@FireFan96 I changed ritualist uprooting to ritualist blessed form as the ability didn't suit him very well.
@FireFan96 Made a final change to Elred's ritualism abilities after having seen what would work with his playstyle, aesthetic abilities and one actual ritualist utility ability has been changed. Also adjusted his combat proficiencies to use some of my saved points. - Also edited his mageblood spells to be chaos ones so he may become an acolyte of a chaos mage.

@FireFan96 Did a rework of sorcery spells with the reactivation of the Zikiel bloodline, making Elred a sanguine yet again.
@FireFan96 Apologies for another edit so soon, wasn't getting much use out of Nature Sorcery abilities and Elred is soon becoming an acolyte of a Arcane Mage, so I reverted the sorcery back into Elemental and Arcane. Last change for a while, once again sorry.
